Pakistan V India - 1st Test Match.

..and this was supposed to be a batting pitch? holy shiiiittttttttttttttttttt - Inzamam's runout let the downfall - as i expected the pitch will turn in Day 3 and 4 - and it's happening.

this is really pathetic - first bowlers let down the side - and now batsmen

what do you think we always do?

somehow this test reminds me of this post of mine prior to the start of the series:

how right i was…

I don't have much words for this match except to say that some people are fooling Pakistani public and rest of the world.

All I can say is, the Indians have shut up every cocky Pakistani fan out there. I remember the days when Pakistani's used to say India is scared of playing us, and we'll beat them anywhere.

Looks like India is a better team than us overall.

PCB needs to sacked.

Back then it was probably true that we would beat them. Since then we have lost two great bowlers and India have found stars like Laxman, pathan, Yuvraj, Kaif...the balance has tipped and India are a mighty impressive team. Still let's have another crack at them in Lahore before we start writing ourselves off. It's supposed to be a faster track maybe our lads can show that there's still something in the tank.

Should Pakistan change the team for 2nd Test Match?

Should Moin Khan be included in Next test match?

Best bowling attack? My ass. First 300 by an India, against this attack. First Indian victory against Pak. in Pak, against this attack. You're only kidding yourself by continuing to back these "lads". Sorry, but i am bitter. Bitterly dissapointed and bitterly disgusted.

yeah. So the Pakistani fans are at it again. Chop and change boys. Chop and change, and this team is what you'll get. Don't work to overcome the problems, just take the short cut. Keep up the grand tradition.

well said.

there's a good case for kicking out half the team. but who do we replace them with? because after all they are the best in the country anyway. or at least they should be.

these problems that are coming to face us now have been there for a long time. we managed to avert them through some very, very talented players. unfortunately, they've moved on and our unprofessional methodologies have been fully exposed.

It's a 3 test series. When it's over it's over there's still plenty to play for. I'm not 'backing' these lads to do it but it's pointless throwing in the towel at this stage. Sehwag got 300 coz we dropped him on 68. That won't necessarily happen next time. I can assure you India won't be dumb enough to write off pakistan just yet. Only your hero Miandad is dumb enough to write anyone off too quickly (Irfan Pathan...hint hint ;) )

Okay...on a 2nd thought...if Pakistan build the 10th wicket partnership yielding ±200 runs...this match still could be drawn...but on the negative side...it seems to be slightly unlikely... :)

I think its premature and kiddish to write off Pakistan. They are too talented bunch to not comeback. Moreover recent times Indian have history of going 1-0 up in series and then lose one to draw it.
I heard Lahore wicket is going to be a green top. This will be intresting contest. I have a feeling that If it is too green then Pakistani batsmen will also struggle as much as Indian will.

Its time for Youhanna to play the inning Inzi played, show them what you are. But I highly doubt it as ball will be new and Youhanna is scared to face new ball, so we may not be able to add more than 10 runs tomorrow.

Now changing tracks from slow to fast won’t help either. Irfan is established himself and now our batsmen will be scared of facing him as well as Kumble, so chances are slimmer :bummer:

Those morons who think a faster greener track will give Pakistan an edge are halucinating at best. This Indian team coped with Lee and Gillespie on pitches at WACA and GABBA and they fared very well. I think Pakisan will be more at sea on a greener track against Pathan and Kumble. Yes, Kumble. He is very dangerous on bouncy pitches. So, this dead track in Multan was well thought out. Now that even Multan's Matti didn't work, Miandad and Inzi are coming up with excuses that they didn't order.

India will NOT lose this series. Pakistan will be lucky if they can draw it. I see atleast 2-0 India.

Yep Indian seamers will also make it difficult for Pak batsmen but if the pitch is made for a spinner Pak has no chance of a victory. We don't have any spinner of the calibre of Kumble, neither do we play spin as well as the Indians. A green top will give us a fighting chance at least. I don't expect it to be a difficult track but one like we had at Peshawar would be nice with a bit of pace in it.

I agree it is a better option than playing Indian on spin track or batting track. You cant get them out twice hence you cant win. Green top gives better opportunity in that sense.

What I said was that it might expose Pakistani batting too.

Let's not forget. Originally test matches were scheduled at Peshawar, Karachi and Lahor. The Indians asked the venues to be changed and Multan came into picture. I say sue the Indians for the losses. :P

Man..your fgantasy team really sucks. See even I went up 40 places. :stuck_out_tongue:

:rotfl:

dude, u want me to discuss fantasies here?. then you will say i am off topic.
