Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test - 25-29 January 2012
Normally winning combinations are not changed but in the second game they have to play Wahab Riaz instead of Cheema. Other than a few beauties from Ajmal, most English wickets were soft dismissals. Guls’ four wickets comprise of two flicks down the leg side and a pull caught in deep. We need a stronger bowling attack to continue the winning streak & get twenty wickets on flat tracks.
On the batting side, Azhar and Asad have not shown signs of real domination. They should shine soon or their spots are in trouble.

Agreed Either Junaid or Wahab should replace Cheema

**The warning has been sounded!
**Although this might sound like a really bad excuse for an international team, it is a fact that England were a bit undercooked for the 1st test in Dubai having not played test cricket for 5 months (their last game being The Oval test against India in Aug 2011)
Make no mistake they will come hard at us in the remaining two games. They are unlikely to bat as badly again
During the Ashes win down under in 2010/11, England lost at Perth by a massive 267 runs before going on to win the 4th and 5th tests in Melbourne and Sydney respectively (and both by an innings) to take the series 3-1
But I also have confidence in this Pak team under Misbah and am backing them to win the series 2-0 or 2-1
Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test - 25-29 January 2012
Lets just hope that from being undercooked for the first test they overcook themselves for the second test. I am backing my team to the hilt. Go Pakistan, smash England.
Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test - 25-29 January 2012
I think Andy Flower can't face the fact that his ranked no 1 side was beaten all ends up by the resurgent Pakistanis that don't have a single legend among them, although ajmal could become a second saqlain if he continues his form and deceptive bowling.
So even though they were a bit rusty, the no1 side should not have cracked like this rather it should have been a marginal victory to Pakistan. That did not happen.

Talha ruled out of UAE Test series**

January 23, 2012
Pakistan seamer Mohammad Talha has been ruled out of the Test series against England in the UAE due to injury. “Talha developed back problem and in the MRI scan it was revealed that he has a disc problem and when his pain subsides in the next two three days he will return home,” Pakistan team manager Naveed Cheema told AFP.
Cheema said Talha needed 10 to 12 days rest. Talha didn’t play for Pakistan in their 10-wicket win in Dubai, but he did pick up four wickets in the warm-up game for the PCB XI prior to the Test series. Cheema said Pakistan would not be calling in a replacement.
The second Test begins in Abu Dhabi on January 25.
Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test - 25-29 January 2012
Why don't they pay attention to fitness and injury assessments at the academy level...a waste to bring hi down just to have hi sent back. So now a replacement?
Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test - 25-29 January 2012
Pakistan surely did well in the first test and pretty much everyone was taken by surprise at the result of the TEST, however the key to second test is continuation of the same effort and method by Misbah and company as well as refrain from complacency, Pakistan should and InshaAllah will win 3-0 but for that they should be prepared for some backlash from the ENGLISH in the 2nd and 3rd test. \
