Come on lads he might have a weakness and if so I am sure Miandad will be working on it. Let's not forget the weakness is not that signifcant otherwise he wouldnt have scored three centuries recently.

Ehsan Bhai i'm not critcizing him since he has the sound technique to become a very good batsman at Intl. level ...... As he gave a sample of it in the Karachi test + Multan ODI ...... although the bowling attack he scored against isn't best in world but others had their difficulties playing against it ......
I think Javed will have a look at it and help him correcting it ......
What if Yasir Hameed ignored warnings by team officials? Following article is about First Test match played in Karachi where we all know Yasir Hameed was sucessful, a star was born, though, he ignored the cautious advice given by the team officials.
Look at the batting performance of Yasir Hameed after Karachi Test, he scored less runs. I have this weird feeling that Yasir Hameed won’t be able to score 50+ runs in the remaining three ODIs. He will get out around 15-35 runs by playing same stupid shots. Not to be spitful but that’s the reality so far, Yasir Hameed hasn’t even start working on his flaws yet!
KARACHI: Yasir Hameed may be having a dream debut Test match with scores of 170 and 68 not out but on Saturday he was reprimanded for ignoring messages sent out to him advising him to play with caution for the team.
The 25-year old from Peshawar who scored 170 in the first innings and batted with the same confidence and impudence on Saturday playing some high flying shots when Pakistan were chasing a target of 217 runs got a cooling down when he returned to the dressing room.
**The team officials gave him a straight talk after he ignored two messages sent out to him not to be extravagant in his shot making and play with a level head as the team was chasing a target.
But the youngster clearly on a high after middling and timing the ball so sweetly kept on playing his shots even dancing down the pitch to the left-arm spinner Mohammad Rafique to try to hit him inside out over the cover region.
Since Rafique was bowling on a rough outside the leg stump Yasir was given a message to curb his shots and play the left-armer properly.
When he(Yasir Hameed) returned to the dressing room he was reminded that he had to play for the team in the new dressing room culture and if he didn’t follow instructions than even if he scored a hundred he would sit out in the next match.
Interestingly when Yasir went out to bat and played some flowing shots, one of the selectors also made the point that he was playing his shots too early and being impatient and could get out putting the team under pressure.
“He has to be careful with his shot selection on such a slow pitch. He has already got two inside edges off his pads off the fast bowler and should be careful,” the selector said.**
Zero_One: Correct Inzi was bowled in the similar fashion but how many times he got out back-to-back as Yasir Hameed?
PT nI know you like to get involved in long relplies and long arguments, but bhai mere I am not interested. The bottom line is he has been the most sucessful batsmen against BD. He has his faults and weaknesses like anyone else. If you don't like him, tough.
ME? :D Getting involved in big arguments? Nah :D
I know ehsan bhai Yasir is the most successful batsman rightnow against Bangladesh but yaara it's just that if he ignored advice given team officials, that's really something to ponder about!
p.s I like Yasir Hameed very much but not as much as I like you. :D

Pt, you have a point...he should listen to team officials. Maybe Yasir doesn't listen to team officials since he is Pathan? :p ...as far as I remember....Afridi is Pathan too and he has the same problem ;)
anywayy...I think it doesnt matter as long as Yasir is doing well...the team officials should just lets him go out there and let him play the way he feels comfortable with.
Yaasir lost his leg stump only because he was trying to slog the ball out of the ground. That hardly represents a technical flaw, more accurate to say he needs to be a bit more patient, but considering his lack of experience he's done very well so far.
**3rd one day in Lahore. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat. D/N match. Pakistan team unchanged. I cannot believe that Junaid Zia has been preferred over Sami. Long live daddy. I am outraged to say the least. **
Pakistan eye 300th victory](BBC SPORT | Cricket | Pakistan clinch series win)
Pakistan won the toss an elected to bat first against Bangladesh in the third one-day international hoping to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series.
Another victory in the five-match series would also be their 300th in one-day history.
The hosts ignored the claims of fit-again fast bowler Mohammad Sami to field an unchanged side to the one that won the second match of the series by 74 runs on Friday.
Bangladesh brought in opening batsman Hannan Sarkar and seamer Tapash Baisya at the expense of Tushar Imran and Hasibul Hossain.
The tourists squandered an opportunity in the second match when the middle-order collapsed after Razin Saleh and Habibul Bashar had got them off to a flying start.
Pakistan stand-in captain Inzamam-ul Haq said: "We would like to keep the winning momentum going.
“We didn’t bat that well in the second one-day international but our bowlers bowled in the right areas in the middle of the Bangladesh innings and that clinched us victory.”
Bangladesh coach Dav Whatmore is pleased his side are progressing.
He said: “The improvement in performance of my boys is victory for me and so far I am achieving that.”
Mohammad Ashraful has disappointed in his role as opener and is likely to bat at number four after Sarkar’s return.
Pakistan: Mohammad Hafeez, Yasir Hameed, Yousuf Youhana, Inzamam-ul-Haq (capt), Younis Khan, Kamran Akmal (wkt), Abdul Razzaq, Shoaib Malik, Junaid Zia, Shabbir Ahmed, Umar Gul.
Bangladesh: Habibul Bashar, Mohammad Ashraful, Rajin Saleh, Hannan Sarkar, Alok Kapali, Khaled Mahmud (capt), Tapash Baisya, Khaled Mashud (wkt), Mushfiqur Rahman, Mashrafe Mortaza, Mohammad Rafique
5.2 Tapash Baisya to Mohammad Hafeez, OUT: on middle and off swings
away a bit, Hafeez tries to defend and gets an edge to Mashud who
takes a comfortable catch behind the stumps
Pakistan 27/1

haan yaar, he unfortunately is playing.
General should instead make his daughter the captain of the national women cricket team. No one would mind that one as much i can assure.

This is rubbish.
The 'official' reason given for Sami's absense is that he is not quite in the groove yet. Well, even ungrooved Sami will be 10 times better than Junaid Zia.
Junaid might have the talent, but the timing of the whole issue is making him the public enemcy number 1.
*He is 5 years and 300 first-class wickets early into the team. *
I wish my dad was a general
If Sami's not fit then it would be stupid to risk him. Last thing he needs is a setback which will rule him out against SA.
Sami has said it himself that he is completely fit. Also the team's doc. Tauseef has said that Sami has completely recovered.
To me he is not playing simply because Junaid Zia has to be accomodated into the side. There is no one else that can be kicked out.
Shabbir and Umar has worked their arses off the test series and there is no way they can be kept out to make way for junior Zia.
I wouldn't worry about the General's son keeping Sami out of the side, it's not going to happen. It's probably just a precaution and a final look at Zia before they kick him out.
I think Zia should be given a chance. Afterall, its not that critical match. We are already in the position to win this serie.
However, against South Africa, Zia's selection over Sami might have been heavily criticized. :)

one sane reply.
Thats what inzimam said on news yesterday night that Sami will play from the fourth onedayer just as a precuation measure and he will train with the team and bowl in nets. He will defintely play in the fourth one.
