Zia's took 2 wickets so far. Unfortunately I'm not watching it right now, will have to see the highlights tonight to see if he looks any better than the last time.
Pak 2-0
40.4 Junaid Zia to Khaled Mashud, OUT: Gone! on target, Mashud tries to
heave it over mid wicket, big inner edge onto legstump
42.1 Junaid Zia to Mohammad Rafique, OUT: All Over!!from round the
wicket, angling into the left hander, tries to drive it from away
of the body, big inner edge onto stumps
zia got 3 wickets... lets see if the popular gupshup opnion changes about his.
i havent seen him, so i'll stay neutral
Match is over and Pakistan is the winner. Junaid Zia took 3 wickets and now i think our Selectors will select him but i dont see his place in the squad when Sami and Shoaib will be back. Shabbir isnt the ODI material i would say, he is attacking in test but in ODI NANA (IMO).
Anywayz congrats to Pak.
Pakistan bowled well and Youhanna batted very well.
Junaid Zia got 3 wickets but was still not very impressive. I dont see him being picked ahead of Sami, Shoaib, Gul and Shabbir.
Well played Pakistan.
ehsan, i couldn't see today's match, were junaid's wickets down to luck or did he bowl some decent delivieries? my main complaint was that he didn't appear to have much control in the last match, but he did look like he could swing the ball. I agree that he's not going to get in ahead of Shoaib, Sami, Gul or Shabbir, but he's only 19 so there's plenty of time for him to develop. Personally though, I would have though that it made more sense to give fast bowlers with a better domestic record a chance first - but there again, I haven't seen them they might be quite ordinairy at this level.
I was hoping that our openers will take us to 100+ but they didn’t even cross 50. Okay batting, with better bowling. I’m sure next game will bring better performance from Younis, Malik and Razzaq (batting wise).
Glad to see Youhanna scored century :k:
Xtreme, Junaid's first two overs cost 16 runs, BD were down 7 wickets and struggling, they were trying to up the run rate and thats when Junaid got his 3 wickets. He is just a medium pacer of very ordinary talent. What I am really saying is that with the other four fast bowlers plus razzaq and Azhar as medium pacers plus their batting ability, Junaid for the time being will find it difficult to have a permanent place in the team. Let's see whether he will retain his place when Sami comes back.
Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Sami has been cleared to return to action in the third one-day international against Bangladesh.
The 22-year-old has not played a competitive match since damaging his ankle last month during a spell with English county side Kent.
A stress fracture was diagnosed and he was forced to miss the three Tests against Bangladesh.
But he now insists he is “fully fit and raring to go”.
Sami has been named in a 15-man squad for Monday’s game in Lahore and will be looking to add to his haul of 46 wickets from 31 one-day appearances.
Pakistan coach Javed Miandad has acknowledged, meanwhile, that the team are using the games against Bangaldesh to prepare for the forthcoming home series against South Africa.
“The South Africans are a good team and we are using the matches against Bangladesh to get little things right and allow the seniors to get fine tuned,” he said.
“All the homework we are putting in against Bangladesh will help us against South Africa. But that would be a much tougher contest,” he said.
Pakistan squad for third one-dayer against Bangladesh:
Mohammad Hafeez, Imran Nazir, Yasir Hameed, Inzamam-ul-Haq (captain), Yousuf Youhana, Abdul Razzaq, Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Younis Khan, Shabbir Ahmad, Umar Gul, Junaid Zia, Danish Kaneria, Salman Butt, Mohammad Sami.

i don see it changing drastically. two of the three wkts were due to inside edges. he's gonna be kicked out when sami comes in... i hate sifarshis like him
I will be more than happy if Sami takes only one wicket on monday. Because afterall he will be returning from his injury. So ppl dont be so excited and disappionted if he does not.
we won. I think we need to go easy on bangoliz warna unki hai lagay gi humein.
Bowling was good by Pakistan that led to second victory in 5-match series. Umer Gul at his best. He removed Mohammad Ashraful in the first over and Bangladesh had a shaky start. But then you look at the Fall of 2nd wicket at score 87 in the 18th over. It seems the match was quite in range of Bangladeshis but as Rajin Saleh departed, the whole middle order was collasped. Good job by Abdul Razzaq and Shoaib Malik. :k:
Hmmmm congrats to Junaid Zia for three wickets but since Mohammad Sami is back,
and hopefully he’ll open Pakistan’s pace-attack in the next match, there ain’t no place for Junaid Zia to fit in. Mr. Zia, your one-way ticket to Pakistan Academy. ![]()
Back to batting. As I said before, Yasir Hammed seems to be impatient, sometimes when he plays shot. Did you guys see how he was bowled? He missed the line and length completely and the whole damn leg-stump was gone! Have a look at the following picture:

Yasir Hammed: Clean Bowled…Leg-stump poof
I don’t mean to say Yasir Hameed ain’t good at all. He’s good but he should start thinking about picking the ball’s line and length early before it’s too late.

Flowing Cover Drive by Yousuf Youhana
As for Yousuf Youhana, he’s back into his classic form. Yesterday he kept fighting on till the end. Had he not been out there on the crease, Pakistan could have been in a position I would have never imagined in my wildest dream! I am really disappointed at the poor display of batting by Pakistan’s middle order. Younis Khan, Shoaib Malik and Abdul Razzaq failed to come in double-figures, though both Malik and Razzaq responded good with the ball but they should have done the job with bat as well.
Note: Third ODI is on Sep. 15th @ Lahore. The match will be played in D/N(Day/Night) duration…woohoo… ![]()
Congrats to Pakistan…glad to see they finished it off in style ![]()

PT i agree ..... this chap has lost his leg stump now i think for three times in this series (including tests) and this for sure is a sign for something wrong in his technique covering the leg stump ..... on atleast 2 occasions he play all around the ball as u were suggesting that he completely missed the line and lenght of the ball ..... like Inzi demonstrated yesterday .....
