I’m not sure but the squad hasn’t been announced yet. Only the probables.

PT I guess you forgot to take a look at the domestic averages. **Misbah's average in first class cricket in 60 matches is 51.59. compared to Saeeb Bin Nasir's average of 45.34 in 35 matches.*
Here you go: Your answer: Less matches with avg. of 45.34 by Nasir. :)
I wonder what his avg will be like once he played 60 matches. Any suggestion?
Not to mention Saeed Bin Nasir has been igonred by the selectors for 2 years.

I think I am little too harsh on Hafeez maybe because he played very slow or maybe because he is little inexperience. I really thought PCB will let Saeed Anwar play for one more year and teach youngsters how to play proper cricket on #1 & #2 position but PCB wants to do everything hard way.
Right on but anyway Saeed Anwar is done for good. He knew PCB ain't gonna select him, so, I guess he made the right choice.

I don't believe that Shoaib Malik should be tried as opener, I think he is pretty comfortable @ #5 or #6 and I like to keep it that way but I wouldn’t mind trying Yasir Hammed or Farhad Adil.
Well, Shoaib Malik has been tried as an opener in ODI. Even he scored century as an opener couple of years back in Sharjah Tournament. I think Shoaib Malik can do the job at any spot, be it Test Cricket or ODI. No worries.

As far as middle order batsman, Inzi most likely will take #3 and #4 (misbah or Saeed Bin Nasir or Yasir Hameed), #5 Youhanna, #6 Shoaib Malik, #7 Abdul Razzaq, #8 Rashid Latif, #9 Shoaib Akhtar, # 10 Umer Gul/ Shabbir Ahmed, # 11 Danish Kaneria/Abdul Sattar/Muhammad Khalil.
NO. Less likely. Inzi has always been better on the 4th spot. For 3rd spot, Yasir Hammed, Misbah-l-Haq and Saeed Bin Nasir are there. And Abdul Razzaq should come after Rashid Latif. Rest is fine. :)

*** Sami and Younis khan will be back for the 3rd test match.
Yeah hopefully because Shoaib Akhtar has to go back and play for Duhram in Sept so he's gonna miss the 3rd Test and Muhammad Sami will replace him.
I think Younis Khan might find difficult to come back in the team because currenly he has been out of touch and I think three youngsters(Yasir Hammed Misbah-ul-Haq and Saeed Bin Nasir) will have a tough competition with Younis Khan. Add Yousuf Youhana, too.

Sure I do. It take consistent high class batting to get a higher average in more matches. So as of now Misbah's record is better the Saeed's in first class cricket. You are praising Saeed so much at this performace, now if he keeps up this performance for another 25 matches he would still average less then Misbah so he'll have to play better then what he has done in the past to be able to pass Misbah's average.

Well Misbah didnt get a whole hell of a chance in the side either. He has toured a lot with the senior side but mostly sat out to give way for players like Faisal Iqbal who by the way does not have as good a domestic average as Misbah or even Saeed Bin Nasir. But since those two players are not related to the coach or some other big shot so one has played no international cricket and the other has played fairly less compared to less deserving players.
As far as we are talking about players relating to others.
My friend told me that Shoaib Malik is related to Salim Malik.
I know its pretty stupid to make assumptions, just because they have the same last names.
Can anyone verify that for me?
:hehe:
LM, khair tou hai? I see stats and find Saeed better than Misbah. Reasons:
-
In Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Saeed scored 402 runs at the average of 50.35.
-
318 runs at the avg of 106 in the Patrons Cup One-day tournament
-
Not to mention averaged 50 in the Ramazan Cup organised by the PCB this season and was also consistent in the 2001-2002 season scoring 793 runs in nine innings of the Quaid Trophy with three hundreds at an average of 66.
You can find that all info here on the active thread
Still, with all those incredible performances, Saeed Bin Nasir couldn’t make into the academy outfit. I guess from Saeed’s perspective, it was a blessing in disguise when Kamran Akmal got stuck in England, otherwise, this poor chap never got the call in his life time. Misbah, Hammed, Faisal, Hasan Reza have been tried in the practice training camp. This is Saeed Bin Nasir’s first chance and you are damn right, he got my full support and praise! Sure Sure why wouldn’t I do that? After all Saeed terminated his lucrative league contract in Chesterfield, returned Pakistan early, make himself available for national selection. That means a lot to me!
You have a right to disagree with me or even if you wanna call me biased, fine I’m… but I really find it funny when you said Saeed’s avg(45.34 in 35 matches)would be less than Misbahs’(51.59 in 60 matches) once he played 60 matches.
How could that be possible that Saeed won’t even surpass Misbah’s avg is beyond to me. He’s behind only 7% and in 25 matches and you still think Saeed won’t be able to do it? Fair enough. That’s what you think.
Though, Faisal Iqbal does have connection(of course Javed Miandad) but he always performed better in the practice probables; and on the basis of training camp’s performance, the squad will be announced i.e. the PCB’s official bottom line. We tried Faisal Iqbal in Sharjah and Bank Alfalah Cup in which he, of course, failed. Rightnow, he can’t find his position in the side unless if any player gets injured, therefore, he’s better off in leading a Pakistan ‘A’ side.
There are of course good batsmen than him(Faisal). I definitely put Misbah ahead of Faisal Iqbal.
If its the same ARY Digital which is going to start in Canada than that would be great. I hope ARY Digital starts on 14th August in Canada so the people in N. America and Canada will be able to watch the home series too. :k:
ARY is showing the series in UK as well. :k:

You know what happens when you ass u me things.
Anyways, LM & PT, players stats specially from Pakistani domestic cricket isn't worth anything.
Players should only be judged by how they perform on the international level. So both should be given equal chances, our captain hasn't been fair to Mizbah in recent times.
He should definitly be in the starting 11 in the one dayers.

Whats up with all these Pakistani umpires, why can't we have a complete lineup of neutral umpires for once.
Is Pakistan going to keep their reputation as having biased umpires @ home.
