Can anyone please tell me if Yousaf Youhana is injured? I mean is he in the team for one day series or not?
good to see Salman Butt’s in the squad. Looks to be a very talented boy, although like Imran Nazir, shot selection might be a weakness. You never know, he might turn out to be our answer to Jayasuriya or Adam Gilchrist…or is that just wishful thinking ![]()

he is in the squad, but not sure about the playing XI.
After the disappointment of having a first Test victory snatched from their grasp, Bangladesh must now re-focus to try and end a wretched one-day record.
They have lost 37 out of 39 matches played since beating Pakistan by 62 runs at the 1999 World Cup, with the other two ending in no results because of bad weather.
Tuesday’s game has given an extra edge by the five-match ban imposed on Pakistan skipper Rashid Latif for claiming a catch during the third Test which he had not taken cleanly.
Bangladesh believe the dismissal of Alok Kapali was crucial to the outcome of the game, which Pakistan won by one wicket thanks to a brilliant unbeaten hundred by Inzamam-ul-Haq.
"We have no personal problems with Rashid - he is a fine and honest gentleman who has done a lot for cricket with his upright stand on many issues.
“But we strongly felt that as Pakistan captain he had more responsibility to call the batsman back,” team manager Latif Khan commented.
Match referee Mike Procter’s decision means that the captaincy passes to Inzamam for the five-match series.
And he has a point to prove after a wretched World Cup in South Africa earlier this year, when he managed only 19 runs in six innings.
Kamran Akmal replaces Latif behind the stumps and Pakistan could give a debut to 19-year-old pace bowler Junaid Zia.
Bangladesh have shaken up their squad with Tushar Imran, Habibul Hossain and Mushfiqur Rahman arriving to replace Javed Omar, Manjurul Islam and Anwar Hossain.
If they can maintain the self-belief they showed in the Tests, a win is not out of the question.
But Inzamam has made it clear he will not allow any complacency from his team.
“After winning the Tests 3-0, we want to win the one-day series 5-0 and dedicate it to Rashid,” he said.
“We are fielding a young side, but a talented one and I am confident we can beat Bangladesh 5-0.”
Well I can actually relate to what you mean there saby - i was soooo happy for Steven Waugh when he made his century after hitting 4 of the final delivery of the day at the SCG (his home ground) and he yet again answered all his critics - It was truly what legends are made of - the script was written and he really did come up with the goods - and i guess you must have felt the same way when Inzamam got the win for Pakistan.

what the!!!! Yasir is opening!
Bengali bowlers bowling like Windies used to in late 80's.
First over: MAIDEN
Bengalis humari chutni bana kar, chawal aur muchlee kay saath na khaa jaen…
1.4 Mushfiqur Rahman to Mohammad Hafeez, FOUR, beauty! a little bit width outside off, solid push in the gap to cover boundary.
1.6 Mushfiqur Rahman to Mohammad Hafeez, **FOUR, **width outside off, swings hard and got a thick outside edge flies over the slips to third man boundary
woohoo two boundaries of Pakistan’s innings ![]()
Pakistan 12/0 after 2 overs.
I like the look of this opening pair:
Hafeez: Moderate/Defensive
Hameed: Attacking
A pretty experienced team I must say, only Junaid Zia, Kamran Akmal and Yasir Hameed are thr newbies and others like Hafeez, Gul, Shabbir have been around for a while now.
