Pakistan V Bangladesh - Test and ODI series.

Hafeez
Butt
Yasir
Inzi
Yoyo
Younis
Rashid
Shoaib
Saqlain
Gul
Shabir

If Shoaib Malik is fit there is no way we can drop him off. He has been one of the most consistent performer in ODI's recently.

 I want 5 bowlers who score 30 each too! I think I should become a selector.

And 5 regular batsmen who don’t leave a dot ball. Just hit hard beyond imagination.

First priority is hitting hard...getting out is the 2nd priority! :)

ahhhh, i wish Inzimam can be convinced to open in one dayers, it would be a great move i belive, more like in Tendulkar mode, coz i dont see Yoyo, Inzi, Younis and malik in the batting order at one time, one of them has to sit out :(

^Opners major responsibility is to take the shine of the ball off to pave the way for the rest of the team. So hit hard or harder!

Not every player is trained to face a shining ball. Thats why.

^^ Dont tell me you think Inzimam cant face the shiny ball??
I think he can be our most effective batsman in first fifteen overs coz we badly need one aggressive opener.

lIt will be a great batting line up this way. Just my personal opinion..

Inzamam is not an aggressive player rather a techinal one...while Nazir and Afridi are...

I'd favor, Nazir/Afridi opening!

Poor performance by Pakistan, save Inzi. If it weren't for Inzi, we would've lost.

Whats even worse is that there was a war of words going on between Ramiz and that bangladeshi commentator. I am sure a lot of you know about it already. It was in poor taste. If Ramiz thinks a Bangladeshi doesnt have a right back bangladesh, then perhaps he should stop praising Pakistan too. Or maybe tell the English or Australian commentators what he felt about their patriotism. I just couldn't belive it.

Tauqeer Zia has surrounded himself with a team with mediocers. These guys are going to ruin the cricket. poor, and a mismanaged tour (the air ticket drama/ problems with food..and what not) and now this. Rameez and co. are acting like they're doing a huge favor to Bangladesh by playing this series. How stupid of them. It is Bangladesh, in fact, who are doing us a favor by playing in Pakistan. Otherwise no team would play them on their home ground. I am sure a lot of teams scheduled to come to Pakistan will be using this tour to observe the secutiry arrangements etc. If these guys continue to be such lousy hosts, then I hope and pray that no team comes to Pakistan. Cricket's future it appears is going in the same direction as Hockey, and Squash. Once Pakistan started losing in those games, public lost interest. We've already come down from World # 2 to a team who can barely beat Bangladesh.

I can only nod my head in disgust.

Didnt you notice the pure bias shown by Bangladesh commentator continously?? He was constantly complaining about umpriing decisions, and Ramiz promptly poointed out after getting irritated that it is Pakistan who has suffered more through the hands of umpires in this test match. Whats wrong with that?

That commentator threw a purely laughable comment that pakistan is an established test nation and bad decioins dont affect them as mcuh as they affect BD. What a joke.

You contiuously criticize Ramiz and Co, but i think Ramiz is the single most unbiased commentator you will find , save perhaps Ravi Shastri and Dean jones.

But I completely Agree that Pakistan played poorly. There is a LOT of room for improvement

I agree with Saby, the BD commentator was blaming the defeat on umpiring. It was in poor taste and reflected badly on him. Even after the match he was harping on about it. Both sides got poor decisions so he should stop wingeing about it. For eg Younis Khan was clearly not out in the first innings when the umpire gave him out.

For the BD commentator it was clearly a case of sour grapes. :nook:

Congratulations to Pakistan. I am really happy for Inzamam ul Haq. He has had a tough year and I hope this innings brings a lot of confidence for him ahead of SA series. HArd Luck to Bangali Brothers, they really played like tigers and proved to many that thier TEST STATUS was not mistake and they are ready for it. Good Luck next time. I am sure they are heros in their land. Hats off to them for an excellent Series.

BD commentators should stop giving excuses after the loss because they also got some decisions in their favor.

when r the one dayers starting.. ?

What? Pakistan won? Wow thats incredible?? How when where? Congrats to Pakistan on the whitewash, and hats off to Bangladesh for a memorable performance!!!

Congratulations to Pakistan on the occasion of this "spectacular" victory over Bangladesh.Have they declared a national holiday yet ? :)

Looking at how this series went, I think Pakistan-Bangladesh matches will draw more crowd than Pakistan-India matches henceforth.

Dont worry, we were busy celebrating the bronze that we got in hockey ;) Poor tommy boy and some1loser wanted Pakistan to loose, well, tough luck, suckerz!

Anways cograta ya'll. I wasn't following this series anyway but glad we kicked those fish eating fishermen's ass.

Arey bhai bahut baRa pathar rakh kar ye baat kahi hai :). Yes I was rooting for Bangladesh and in the coming months root for SA when pak plays them. But I would congratulate Pak team if they perform well.

Before we celebrate too hard lets review the series.
The bowling came to the front, Shabbir Ahmed and Umar Gul look like terrific players for the future. Both guys bowled really well and showed good composure as batsmen even. Saqi really dissapointed and I would prefer we play Danish , why not stick with the young guy we were planning on developing and also why was this Yasir Ali guy playing when we had this young left arm fast bowler who was actually selected at the tryout for this series, what is this garbage of inserting guys who werent even at the tryout.
Batting is a serious issue, Yassir Hameed, and Youhana I can give passing grades for some decent performances. Inzi, only because of his match winning batting at the end deserves accolades as well.
The dissapointments, I gotta say, Muhammed Hafeez was'nt amazing and still has to improve consistency to impress me, Yunis Khan did'nt anything, Farhan Adil (did he even play?), Rashid Latif was'nt impressive. I would have like to seen Saeed Bin Naser ahead of Salman Butt. Apparently this guy is proven in domestic Pakistan League, give him a chance at least.

Heres the ODI squad:

Inzamam-ul-Haq (capt), Imran Nazir, Mohammad Hafeez, Yousuf Youhana, Yasir Hameed, Abdul Razzaq, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal (wk), Junaid Zia, Umar Gul, Shabbir Ahmed.

My lineup would be

Imran Nazir
Hafeez
Yasir
Inzi
YOYO
Shoaib Malik
Abdul Razzaq
Kamran Akmal
Junaid Zia (dunno whether he is batsmen or bowler)
Umar Gul
Shabbir Ahmed
