Did you even see the match? He was bowling half volleys throughout his spell- his economy tells you everything. Farhat created more chances in his 3 overs than Rauf did in the entire day. I can't think of any chance that he created to get a wicket.
Anyway, I hope it was just a bad day and he bowls better tomorrow. We can't win test with 3 bowlers.
he really needs to workout on his bowling.......all he was bowling he was giving those half crackers to the batsman n they keep capitilizing

Aus. batsmen play with proper teqnique taught to them over and over right from the begining (school coaches etc.) and that is the ONLY way they can play.
thing about technique is that it requires time to get into the stance and then more time to see what the bowler is doing and adjust to it and play the stroke.
their technique is offset only by surprise late swing (eg waseem akram, Imran khan) or express pace ( eg. waqar, imran, alan donald, bond, lee) or unexpected bounce (eg. mcgrath, asif, shabir).
now you tell me which of these things does the parchi wala has to offer?
currrent pakistan bowling attack is good except one parchi, but we are missing the cutting edge. its more like indian pace attack.

Catch for Katich dropped, catch for watson dropped, catch for Ponting taken in slips and that’s why he is back in the pavilion.
that’s what gave the Aussies that ominous 183 first wicket stand…thats it. Yes Rauf was umimpressive, but the rest of the lot really kept it tight, otherwise it would have been 400 at the close of play.
Fielding, and some bad luck to have Gul and Kaneria unfit before start of play is what took it away from Pakistan.
Funny thing, if Kaneria would have played, maybe Pakistan fielders would have put down 5 catches…

dropped catches are always a factor, there is nothing new here. Pak are not the best fielding side, everyone knows that.
you bowl the right stuff, and see how lucky you get! they are good attack, but we needed a cutting edge, get it? why wasnt a SINGLE batsman bowled or LBW the whole friggin day?

Abdur Rauf has performed in domestic cricket for MANY years so he is no way a parchi. The same Qadir was the selector who selected him when he was the chief selector. There is no question though, he was selected on Younus Khan's recommendation at the time.
Younus has played against Rauf many times and would know what he's capable off. The guy had a bad day today...give him a break. He was totally off his best because he was bowling half volleys all day and I have seen this guy bowl before...when he's bowling good he always gets the extra bounce becuase of his height to trouble the batsmen...thats why IF he gets it right...he would be a handful on Aussie pitches.
Are some of you people not over Sami yet? The guy averages over 80 per wicket in Australia...and u still wanna give him more chances?? Plus, last time he played for Pakistan...he didnt even bowl a single delivery over 90pmh...so how the the hell is he 'express' pace?

no one is in luv with this &^&^, infact he is a wannabe white wannabe playboy and an embarasment everytime he opens his mouth BUT he can throw the bowl down at 150+, only one else is sami. is there anyone else? is there a lateswinger like akram available?

Well Aamer generated a splendid chance off Katich on a dead pitch, which was an easy catch.
so even if Rauf, did not play well, the others were up on the mark.
Such chances don't repeat.
