Its the Pakistani fielders man. Image, if the first catch was caught when the score was on 12 by Umar Akmal. All the pressure would have been shifted. And then the Misbah drop...and Kamran Akmal's drop of ponting. 3 dropped catches against top 3 Aussie batsmen, you'll pay dearly.

its about time we get a 'real' fielding coach and not someone like Waqar Younis...who is fine as a bowling coach but im not too sure about his fielding coach abilities. With this type of pathetic fielding...we always remain a medicore team.

it looks like Abdur Rauf is only playing so other bowlers can change ends using him for one over ..... I think Sami could not have done worst that what Rauf is doing ..
Agree. Basically Pakistan is playing with 3 reg bowlers. Rauf is painful to watch. Absolutely nothing in his bowling that would suggest he's test material.

No fast bowler can bowl more than a 8-10 over stretch at 100% in 90-100F heat be it bond or lee, and it takes a bowling captian to understand that.

On the other hand Imran/waseem did get it, that is why fast bowlers seldom bowled a spell of more than 5 overs under them (unless they were on a roll)

Rauf has been performing in domestic cricket for a long time. he deserves his shot. he had a bad day but he's a hard working player. anyone can have a bad day. he doesn't deserve to be shot just because he didn't take all 10 wickets by himself.

Did you even see the match? He was bowling half volleys throughout his spell- his economy tells you everything. Farhat created more chances in his 3 overs than Rauf did in the entire day. I can't think of any chance that he created to get a wicket.
Anyway, I hope it was just a bad day and he bowls better tomorrow. We can't win test with 3 bowlers.
