news are that saeed anwar and afirdi have no chance to make the team…
inzi might replace faisal…
and azhar mahmood might replace razzaq or faisal athar…

ahan???
maybe middlesex dont want him to play for pakistan....
after all he's being paid to play for them too....
and if its the performance that bothers u, why r our openers not being re-thinked???? :p
Good to see that the selectors continue to shun Afridi. Inzi's return will be good.
Afridi under a Mod’s wrath ![]()
azhar mehmood has hit form he should be picked, mushtaq ahmed the forgotten man he is the leading wicket taker in the frizzell county championship at the mo' so shouldn't he be considered given how his leg spin suits english flat wickets. saeed anwar should be recalled its ridiculous to see a star batsmen being dropped, waqar should be recalled and so should inzamam bhai.
athar, iqbal, ahmed, should be sent home including gul.

wasay i have to say mushy and azhar r doing well :)
Yeah then again, county is alot different then international cricket. Though I want to see Mushy make a comeback but I am afraid thats not going to happen.
I think PCB should continue with their rebuilding process by bringing in new faces, some one like Qaiser Abbas, Kamran Akmal, Imran Farhat, Basit Khan, Abdul Rauf etc and resting some of the old guys like Youhana and Razzaq.
yaar lakin we r talking baout the conditions here... and they know them well any way all the english players come from county (same logic can be aplied to domestic paki cricket as well but here i would have thought that its is pretty concentrated... alot of excelent players play in the county) as well so how different can the level be?
Sorry for not elaborting in my previous post. For some odd reason the keyboard stopped working and I had to use the mouse to express my feelings by clicking on the smilies. :o
Anyway, the players that you mention are aged and mostly past their prime. Mush might be playing well in the county but I believe he doesnt have the talent to perform at international level. You also mention the inclusion of waqar, saeed and inzi at the expense of young players. Not only would that mean a reversal of the board policy since the WC, it would also mean that there was something wrong with the original policy of the board. Not to mention bringing back the seniors just when the younsters are starting to feel comfortable at international level will demoralise them. So the seniors are a big :nono: at the moment. perhaps Inzi, but he’ll have to lift his fielding tremendously given the high standards set by the current players. i say we should instead go with misbah or Imran Farhat to re-inforce the batting line up.

Any idea on the type of conditions on these grounds at this time of the year? Overcast or sunny? what about the pitches? Batting/Bowling?
Weather wise, the forecast looks very rainy, usually at this time of the year England gets rain, I'm not sure though.
But the pitches will be very normal, personally I think England has the most balanced pitches in the world, not too flat and not too bowler friendly so everyone will have a good time but our young batsman will tested heavily.
