re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

I didn’t check age of these “new” guys? Wait, are we preparing for WC 2003, WC 2007 or 2015? :konfused:

re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

Ok so with everyone thiking that these players are too old to be in the side what is your idea of Salmans true age right now? When you saw him in 1998, was he under 19 …around 16 or was he more like 19 or older…?
be honest bro…

Aizaz Cheema has been ruled out from West Indies tour due to fitness problem. Sadaf Hussain will replace him

re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

PCB are such idiots…didn’t this selection committee even check if a player is fit before naming him in the squad…:shikari:

Sadaf Hussain replaces unfit Aizaz Cheema
ESPNcricinfo staff
April 7, 2011

Aizaz Cheema, the 31-year-old seamer who was picked for the limited-overs’ leg of Pakistan’s tour of West Indies, has been declared unfit by doctors. Aizaz will be replaced by Sadaf Hussain, a left-arm fast bowler from Rawalpindi.

Hussain, 21, was one of the reserve players named by the selectors when they announced the team yesterday. He had a prolific Quaid-e-Azam season, capturing 64 wickets, with a career-best haul of 6 for 40. He has taken 90 wickets in 18 first-class games, including nine five-wicket hauls, and two ten-wicket match-hauls.

The tour kicks off with a warm-up game from April 18, while the only Twenty20 will be played on April 21 in St Lucia. The five-match ODI series will begin on April 23, and the Test leg of the tour will commence on May 12. The squad for the Tests hasn’t yet been named.

re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

Allah ke kaamon mai PCB dakhal nahi de sakti :D, best of luck to Sadaf :k:

re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

Told you guys

re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

yeah but he and Junaid will compete with Wahab to get in. I doubt they will play 2 left armers at the same time. Lets see…if PCB is going to try a Sri lanka on west indies…

re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

yeah you did...we were all wondering...

re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

The South African board didnt check to see if Imran Tahir was eligible to play for them before naming him in their squad last year. So I guess this stuff happens.

re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

A random thought came to my head, what happened to Sohail Tanvir? He is still unfit after 6 weeks of World Cup when he was replaced by Junaid Khan? I didnt hear anything mentioned about him in the news lately or even after this team for selected.

re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

Besides picking another 31 year old is a step in the wrong direction. We already have Tanvir Ali who is 30 something

re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

Ahmed?

re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

oh ...I missed that...so PCB gets 1 out 10 then instead of a big "anda"

re: Pakistan Test Squad announced for Windies

Nah salman seemed like a choocha sa bacha even then so his age is probably okay. I am trying to locate some picture I may have from those times...
