Neither India nor Pak are going to use a nuke ever (unless Pak's nukes are controlled by suicidal jehadis), because that means the end of all of Pak and most of India.
Then why do Nations build these hideous monstrosities?
Seriously not just India and Pakistan but all countries should stop dabling with this evil. I dont care what the so called benefits might be evil is evil and Nukes are evil.

Exactly ! Lets assume Pak detonates a nuke over India, wouldn't the water that flows from India to Pak become polluted too ? That will indirectly hurt Pak. Similarly, if India detonates a nuke there will be indirect effects of the radiation in India too.
I think its a catch 22 situation, Faris bhai. If one makes it, the other has to make it for deterrence purposes :)
However, my question is that after you have made the first few nukes the deterrence is assured. Then why keep spending more on upgrading that arsenal. We all know that the money spent on nukes could be better spent in both our countries.

Well scarecrows and Nuclear weapons are totally different things bhai...
The objective of scare-crows is simple to scare away pests withoyut the need for farmers to be around 24/7, no birds are hurt and even if the scarecrow loses it's effectiveness nobody really gets hurt do they. Besides the scarecrows serve a better purpose as indirectly they help keep pests away from our crops = food.
A Nuclear weapon on the other hand is the cowards bunker, you can hide behind your defences and threaten to pulverise anyone else that defies you... downside is regardless of wether you deploy it or not a Nuke is still dangerous be it in your home turf or on somebody elses.
Billions is spent on Nukes when people are starving to death, sure they make good defences but even a nuclear defence system like Russia's is, and the Russians admit this as dangerous to them as it is to the enemy.
Seriously in this World theres no place for Nukes.
Love em or hate em they serve very little good for man-kind.
At least scarecrows on balance have more of a purpose which is why many people use them... Nukes have only ever been used for war in the attacks on Japan, all the rest is just chest thumping nationalism.

Yes bhai your right.
However interestingly not having Nukes or having Nukes is no garuntee for success or failure. The brilliant although fictional scenario is that of the "Mouse that roared"
It's perfectly possible for someone without Nukes to run ring round a Nuclear power if they are determined to... so as a weapon it's more pyschological than in your face physical.
Besides Nuclear weapons make War into a Game... which is not at all what it should be in my humble opinion.

True but given the history of Nuclear weapons exagerations or no exagerations nobody can deny thier destructive powers and 99% of casualties are going to be Non Combatants.
That depends who you target. The world has only ever seen startegic nuclear weapons used in way, which target entire cities.
No one has ever used a tactical nuclear device in war. It is entirely possible to use on on a battlefield. For example, it is unlikely that civilians would be living in the vicinity of an artillery battalion positioned at an active front line. In such a case, a short-range tactical device could be used to eliminate the battery with more certaincy than a conventional strike, and still be 99% sure of not causing civilian casualties.

But still the enemy are someones sons, fathers and so on you are wiping them out without giving them a fair chance… to me it still seems a bit harsh. Then again so are most artillery strikes and Air strikes…
But here comes the bit about control, how can garuntee you have full control? A simple miss could spiral out of control… for example int he past Chemical weapons have over/undershot targets causing blue on blue… some munitions have side effects such as firestorms, fallout etc…
I still dont think it’s right but to some extent at least a small scale precision method sounds fair on paper.
Theres always going to be idiots who will abuse it though…

If you miss the target and hit something else.... it's chalked up as collateral damage.

If those sons, fathers and so on of someone won’t march for a war, they won’t get killed!!! but as long as those sons, fathers and so on of someone are going to march and take part in attempts to invade and occupy a country, there is risk for them to get killed… and that is why these kind of deterrence is necessary to have… at least now those sons, father and so on of someone would know that the chances fr them being killed in the war is higher then before… this may stop them to go for a war…
