Re: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar - India Trip photos
every time i look at the Sunday Times pages, there is also a couple of women holding their Birkins...arent these around 10K each? and isnt there a 2 year waiting list for them? How is every other aunti and PYT in high class Pakistan getting a hold of them? i bet they are probably knock offs from Raja Bazaar.
I pray their zakat money goes to good use to the needy people of Pakistan.

^you can be well dressed etc without the brands.
Just like you can be with them too. So let the individual decide how they want to be well dressed, what is it to you? If you are happy with your non-branded stuff, others branded stuff shouldnt intimidate you.
It's not about the public wanting to see them with brands or not, its about their own wants too after all they are also human beings and not some puppets who should wear branded or non branded stuff according to the publuc demand.

there is a way to wear brands without looking tacky. anything monogrammed or with logos (such as LV, Fendi, etc everywhere) looks like you're trying to hard.

Well that doesnt make sense. But shudnt the designer be blamed in this case?!
Re: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar - India Trip photos
wow zareen..relax...no need to say stupid.
designers are smart. they know how to make money. there are people that only buy designers for the brand, hence they splatter their logo everywhere. So people who buy it could show off to other people that they have this designer item.
then there are people that buy the designer items for their art, the style, the quality, etc, and they can afford to buy a $5000 bag, and dont need the logo all over the product, because they dont care about showing off to other people.
look around..aside from paksitani/indians (who like to show off their material items), how many celebrities/rich people buy those bags with the logos all over? how many of them wear tshirts with Versace printed on it?

so r u saying anyone who goes for logos n printed labels, they r not after the product but the name that comes with it? i dnt think so. yes there may be people who do that but not everyone is like that.
Re: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar - India Trip photos
most yes.
and i admit....even happened to me once. i spent $350 bucks on a coach bag and i wanted one with the Cs, because why would I spend all that money on a plain one when you can't even tell its a coach bag???
Re: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar - India Trip photos
Lols.
Well its good to be honest so ya but i hope not everyone spends such kind of ridicuolous money for designer stuff when they don’t like it but just to show off.
Re: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar - India Trip photos
u know this reminds me of this similiar mentality where some people wud opt for anything that has more "kaam" done on it as oppose to something that is way better looking but less in "kaam" as after all pata tu chaley paise kis k liye diye hain :D lols. Well each to their own i guess!
Re: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar - India Trip photos
Afshi, I'm in UK. :D
Zareen Kahn, why should I be intimidated by someone I don't even know in person? Besides, she's supposed to be one of the leaders of a nation, seriously, do you even know why Saudi Royals are so much hated? Well, politics is not your cup of tea so I'll leave to it, chalo jao Reema ki new movie dekho. yawns

you dnt need to know them in person to be intimidated by them! n since when being a leader meant u have to go by what the public says even the clothes (brands) you wear?!
i think common sense is not your cup of tea so how about you work on it n stop promoting reema's movie :D

Apparently being socially conscious and sensitive to the plight of the average Pakistani is beyond the grasp of the monied elite and the politicians in Pakistan.
Re: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar - India Trip photos
I think most Pakistanis will be okay with her wearing brands since very few people are actually aware of designer brands.
ROTFLOL!
I wouldnt take offense to it because it's not important to be aware of designer brands if one doesnt want to. But what you wrote said more about you as a person and less about what Pakistanis know or don't do.
Seriously! Are you sure you are not in depression because the symptoms are just of those.
