So Musharaf is NOT the President... The Supreme Court tht he brought in was through unconstitutional means and hence the Mush sponsored SC is also illigitimate.
So Mush I NOT the President.. Technically speaking, he holds no public office currently.
The 90's werent a fair time for the elected govts... The had many things working against them... But just because the 90's are seen as unsuccesful, doesnt mean you give up on Democracy...
Pakistan can NOT survive as a dictatorship... The only course is true democracy with whatever faults it has... Bring back the true CJ, lift curbs on media, have Mush step down and elect a new govt through free, fair anf transparent elections run by and an independant EC.
Mush gave the media freedom because it served his intrest... You cant give someone a present and the vindictively take it back the way he has... It exposed his true face, that all...

its very obvious that there was once a thief justice heading the supreme court and was sacked constutionaly from a reference which highlighted his corruptness, unfortunatly his goons without even looking at the reference got him back, musharraf even accepted it and it proved if he was a dictator he would have never been reinstated int he first place.
thief justice iftak choudary was himself trying to be a dictator after coming back, trying to halt the economy showed he didnt give 2 cents for pakistan and when things got out of hand emergancy had to be declared to save the country from the thief justice.

This isnt democracy Suhaib.. Democracy is a govt that elected by the people.. Demoracy means that there are strong and independant institution.. Democracy means that power is shared...
Musharaf has centralized all authority and hence, the country is no longer a democracy...
Perhaps if Musharaf allowed the Cupreme Court to function with the true CJ at the helm.. The Supreme Court might be able to balance his power, but without that happening, Mush is nothing but a dictator and there is no democracy.
