Let me one more time clerify you. I am not defending chors and dakoos here. My post pointed out technical and organizational screwed up which brought railway in to this condition. Corruption in Railway was there even before partition, but it still ran in profit till seventies. For once if it is assumed that there is zero corruption in Railway, even then Railway is going to sink because of the major problems I pointed out. If your market share is snatched, if investment in maintenance and repair is stopped, if capital budget is diverted for futhre expansion to somewhere else, don’t expect miracles.
As regard corruption in Railways, I know that Railway is full of chors and dakoos, is poor organization ko sub ne loota hay, but then this is the problem of whole Pakistan.
