Nasir Jamshed, the Pakistan opening batsman, has been arrested for cheating during a school exam, according to an AP report.
A senior police official, Haider Ashraf, said in Lahore that Jamshed was caught “red-handed” on Monday during a ninth-grade English exam that would help him pass higher secondary school.
Jamshed, 20, played the last of his 12 one-day internationals against Sri Lanka at Dambulla last August. A left-handed opening batsman, he has 353 runs at an average of 35.30.
He was not among the 37 cricketers awarded a central contract last month by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
20 years old, still in 9th grade and top of it he needs to cheat to pass the exam? wow
I don't know which school would allow a 20 year old to be in 9th grade, or was he taking this exam as private candidate? Anyway, who "arrests" a student while cheating? This is bizarre.
Maths Hota tu koi bat bh thi:smack:
Waisy dekhu kaisey ENGLISH hamari nwjwan nasal ka future andher yani dark ker rahi hai:( Mujhy apny English main 67 out of 200 marks yad a giey without naqal though:snooty:****(66 was passing grade:hehe:)
firstly I've never heard of anyone getting arrested for cheating. secondly everyone laughing at a 20 year old needing to cheat in a 9th grade exam needs to be a little less Marie Antoinette. Plenty of people struggle with the language, its usually due to lack of resources, and its very insensitive to laugh at someone's misfortune.
what next, haha the hungry thief electrocuted himself while trying to steal food?
so basically they have taken away use of cheating for less privileged even at school level now only children of powerful can cheat whether its school, society or politics, shabash.
in my board exam, our center was bought by a rich kid. the invigilator used to stand next to him, dictating from an Aeena-e-Urdu guide book.
like you say Captain, the problem hasnt been the laws on the board, which I think were appropriate (cancel one's paper, suspend etc, as in other places in the world) but their partial enforcement.
