why is it such a big deal if he is 20 and is taking grade 9 exams ?! age shouldn't matter in education - it's attitude like this that keeps us from attaining the high levels of literacy that we aspire to.
I'd much rather have a 20 year old high school graduate than a 20 year old illiterate... besides he's a professional cricketer so he must have had to put his studies on hold for a while.
Pity about his cheating though...

The guy has lived in Brooklyn...nothing good comes out of there..so it was expected!
Nobody puts u in jail for just cheating..I think what probably happened is that he got caught cheating and decided to show examiner who he was, 'A Pakistani Team Player'...the examiner probably was not impressed upon which they probably got into an altercation, which is more likely to get him end up in jail.

Well…cheating in an exam could be normal in Pakistan…but its hilarious that he was arrested and than later got bailed out… 
Besides being good or bad sportsmen…Pakistanis are good at other things too…another
PS: Jamshed might be putting more efforts in cricket than study…because in cricket…there is more money possible than getting a certificate…

According to waleed thats the new law, if you get caught cheating an FIR is lodged against you, unbelievable to me.

I dont mind this Law at all....I think they need to make an example of someone to make people aware of this law and this guy, a cricket, who almost all think they are above the law, is not bad person to start with.

I can support the law, but what I see is that the rich and powerful will still be exempt from such laws. We need to enforce laws on EVERY one. However, I think cancellation of paper, suspension would be much better punishments than sending to jail.
