Look at South Africa's crime rate and they can hold a World Cup there. It all depends how you define dangeous. There are problems in the country but we have this very active group of people belonging to all sorts of different backgrounds and areas who constantly negate Pakistan and show it ina much more negative light than it deserves to be. They are mostly all Pakistanis or Pakistanis living abroad. If you ever see these individuals online you will notice that they will never say anything or show anything positive about Pakistan. I gues some do it consciously ie they belong to disgruntled ideological, ethnic, regional, linguistic backgrounds with an agenda to spear and some just do it because of what I think maybe an inferiority complex and costantly hard on about how bad it is there.

South Africa never had people blowing themselves up. Teams were not attacked by terrorists in South Africa.

And as for claims it's the most dangerous place on earth, hehe no way Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia are too...
Mind you so is Gaza, Southern Lebanon,The Sudan, Southern Turkey, Southern Russia and the Phillipines too... and thats from first hand experience.
I think your chances of surviving an explosion are low but the likelihood you'll be a target of one isn't high either... Whereas theres many places where you simply being there is a death sentence.
Depends whom you ask... Personally i even found the Valley of Kashmir peacefull in the midst of a warzone. But when i travelled to the Phillipines i found Machete attacks being the most common and horrific form of violence... If you stand out in some of the Islands as an outsider you will be killed... Rival factions kill each other and you wont stand a chance unless your armed better than they are.
Not all Pakistanis live in such fear... Poor economy, infrastructure, Poverty, climate, disease and lack of basic medical and sanitory supplies are far bigger killers.

For a medium to low income group Pakistan has a very low crime rate by any standard. It's different that media and western investors prefer to get robbed and murdered on streets by bandits than to be blown by religious terrorist. That's the reason they do not consider pakistan as a safe investment destination.
However if you track down the foreign investors and multi nationals who invested in Pakistan... their success rate is much better than most of the other third world investment destinations.

It depends... if you consider only religious terrorism and how likely you can be affected from it as the sole criteria for determining the most dangerous place on earth.. yes you can be right.
If you take also the general crime situation and take in to account the crime rate, Pakistan has a very low crime rate for a middle income country group. In other words your chances of getting blown up in a market place by a religious fanatic are much higher in Pakistan... but it's less likely that you will get mugged, robbed or killed by a bandit on Pakistani streets..

Yes I do, but I tend to use my own eyes to see things, not the ones that "the news" gives me...
Try to understand what videos like this "suggest", most people in the west think that Pakistan is a barren deserted land where tanks roam around all the time, there is open firing and people use camels to commute...this is also very frequently depicted in documentaries on nat geo etc...
I live in Pakistan, I have never seen an army tank in my life, not even a gun. I don't go to uni on a camel and I never got fired at while going doing so either. I agree that suicide bombing is something to worry about but there is a limit to generalizing things.
The saddest part is that the west has not only very conveniently destroyed Pakistan's image at large in the west, but our own people are readily offering to buy their version of it.
Also, benazir is not the "only" woman who had good education and went forward in life. There are "many" other examples.
I love my country and loath such attempts to give it a bad name. Such videos are immaculate crap.

yea when ever they have any report regarding Pakistan on BBC or CNN the first thing they show is a rickshaw and a donkeycart
