I believe I've been hearing this for years now, how the last attack was the last straw and any new attacks would mean war. We know it's all bull. America could nuke us and still probably wouldn't fight back.

The leaders are to blame, the pak army ready to fight anyone mashallah they being stopped by the corrupt usual suspects kayani, zardari and rest of deaf dumb and blind government.

Time for pak army to defend themselves and ignore the paid stooges in government.

there was news ticker on Ajj news couple of hours ago, that orders issued to shoot down andy intruder. this came after upgrading the airdefence system on western border with afghanistan. and this includes shooting down drones. lets c

Many of us in pakistan don't consider this to be a mistake, it seems to be a deliberate attack to test the waters for something big. As far as soldiers sitting on the borders doing nothing and still getting killed (72 on them have been killed so for through NATO attacks) creates frustration and loss of morale in the armed forces and the nation. Through these kind of attacks with no response from Pakistani army they are creating a wedge between the people of the country and the army itself (many people now believe that the army cannot protect them) which makes the situation very dangerous as tomorrow if Americans really do attack the army and they don't have any local support it would be very easy to route them. Similarly repetition of incidences with no response from the army might create divisions within the army itself.

No sane person would like a war but any army would like to retaliate if war is thrust onto them because frankly with the passage of time Americans are pushing the army/country into a dead end.

I thought that it was an understood job of an army to fight intruders that attack their motherland. I can assure you that the next time that NATO/US attacks, they will kill a couple dozen more and all that we will hear that our jawans fired back but the copter "miraculously" escaped unharmed. But now, if this was a matter pertaining to suppressing or misbahving with civilians, then one can be sure to see their real might. Just see their attitude with civilians in any organization and you will come to know.

I believe Army/Air Force have full capability to take down any type of air vehicle deployed in Afghanistan theater. Before forces on western border was more in a role of counter insurgency, after the orders of chief it will fully transform them into border security force.

A member of armed services once told me that forces on western border never have the capability to take down air vehicles, which means they were not authorized to use SAM’s & GTAM’s. US/ISAF are using HH-60 or Bell 412 helicopters which can be easily taken down by Pakistan made MANPAD’s such as Anza Mk 2.

The real problem will be after the “escalation” if ISAF/US send air force fighters what will Pakistan do. Game of nerves, crossing fingers.

finally field commanders on border posts are given ground to air missiles. Now i see, how the fk .. ISAF/US send choppers again.

^ I wouldn't count on it............ the orders will likely be to do some aerial firing making sure that nothing hits boss's copters.
