Pakistan military fails to come to aid of local defenders in Dir

Pakistan military fails to come to aid of local defenders in Dir | McClatchy

This is now more than two months that the people of Upper Dir have encircled the Taliban after the Taliban sent a sucide bomber who blown himself in a crowded masjid killing more than 50 people. The people are asking the Pak army for help but the help never arrived so far.

The Pak government should either provide protection to the lives and property of the people of that region or get the hell out of there so that someone else move in and provide protection and get rid of Taliban beast.

Re: Pakistan military fails to come to aid of local defenders in Dir

I agree with you. I don't know what the delay is for in upper dir. They have made some air attacks in the area, but they have not been effective.

And it's not much of a siege if the Taliban can call in reinforcements.

The source makes me laugh and its written by these goons :

By Ben Arnoldy and Daud Khattak | Christian Science Monitor

^^ they know better whats happening in pakistan when they are sitting thousands of miles away?

give me a break !!

The article is 100% true. I am from that part of the world and I regularly talk to my relative back home, they have described the situation exactly the same as this article describes.

Don't be so ignorant because of your patriotism.

^^ Lapak your stance is typical of Afghani/black african tribal mindset.

Unfortunately the tribals do not have a concept of statehood, nor they respect their national armies.

Afghanistan's abysmal situation is the result of such tribal approach towards their country.

Thankfully in Pakistan we are eliminating tribals slowly and in a determined way. Off course the cost is high too. Our officers and soldiers are sacrificing themselves and giving their ultimate gift to their nation.

And inshaAllah with continued effort we'll clear up the remaining areas from tribal menace too.

In the meanwhile, primitive tribal mindset will continue badmouthing Pakistan and Pak army.

So continue your "La-Noble" task. Shabash.

Unforfunately, the Pakistani rulers have similar mindset as yours. If this country has to survive then those rulers must be eliminated.

Re: Pakistan military fails to come to aid of local defenders in Dir

^^ In Afghanistan this may be true, but we have our own way to get rid of the ruler we don't like, killing is the last thing in our mind, before get rid of our leaders we need to get rid of those camps where we provided shelters to the afghans and which are now being used by afghans for terrorist activities in Pakistan, i guess it is right when people says that Afghans are the people who **** in the same plate they eat in.

You guys calling me Afghan because you guys can not handle the TRUTH!

Re: Pakistan military fails to come to aid of local defenders in Dir

u sound like Afghani

I am Afghan because I am Pashtun. Anyway, why don't talk about the subject. Tell me why the Pak army is not helping the Lashkar in Upper Dir?

Re: Pakistan military fails to come to aid of local defenders in Dir

theres possible legal consequences for helping/arming militias at UN war crimes level. its dodgy ground

Why you bringing afghan and afghanistan in the middle, I am talking about the Pashtun citizens of Pakistan. You are making a fool out of yourself but dodging the question.

Why do you want to insist on being an Afghani armchair general?

Pak army has whooped Tribal Talib @rse in a short time.

Pak army soldiers and jawans have sacrificed their lives to bring back people their freedom to live in swat and mingora.

And here you are nitpicking like a foolish Afghani-general who couldn't dream of his own joke of an army. The same Afghanistan who is is a like a neighborhood boy to be "used" by every Tom Dick and Harry (literally speaking).

It is important to learn a lesson from Afghanistan aka the basket case of a pathetic joke country.

It is important for us not to repeat the same foolish tribal mistakes made by Afghans.

So it is really necessary to compare the behavior of some Pakistani tribal-wanna-bees to the tribals from Afghanistan, Arab lands, and Black Africa.

It is like telling your own people to obey the law and not to be a bank robber, or a petty thief, because it will not serve them well. Then the petty thief turns around and says "Why are you using my name as an example"?

Kapeesh?

What are you talking about? are you ok?

No capiche!

Because u r afghan, that is very reason you believe every thing u hear ( a typical afghan)... now i know lots of Pashtun who hate to be called Afghan and consider it bad word for them, yes only Afghani Pashtun call then Afghan like you do.

Now in civilized world, first thing to do is never to point fingers without credible evidence and secondly always check the source of information.. have you done this in this case, i guess not, like typical afghan, you just bought what u hear...

bla bla bla .....
