Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

Oh, so Inzi got run out cuz of Razzaq ! :mad2: some one give them lunch in separate plates during matches from here on :bailan:

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

I really doubt we can ever dump Sami esp when we don’t have Shoaib Akhtar (a pacer) in the attack, though I’d like to see that happening (has been my wish for almost 2 years). I agree with your lineup but Younis may still miss the 3rd match (my guess only).

I wish I could win a lottery for some million bucks and send Hafeez to moon (or outer orbits for that matter) via rocket (Russian “tourism” program :smokin: )

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

I loved Sami for what he did in the third test and I am quite positive he is learning to strike consistently and coming off age but the wickets in these one dayers are the ones every pacer dreads. Unfortunately Sami doesnt have much variety (slower balls and stuff) to surprise batsmen which Naveed and even Shahid Nazir had. but yeah I doubt too that he will be dropped. Though I am surprised where the hell his reverse swing vanished?

If Younis is not fit, we should play Asim instead of Hafeez but Inzimam is not likely to be that adventurous even if Bob wants him to.

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

In Pakistan's defense I would like to add that winning the toss in this part of the world makes a huge difference. But full credit to Dhoni for playing the way he did......made full use of the opportunity given to him, poor knocks from gangs and tendulkar....as well as yuvi and kaif....sehwag and dravid can do no wrong...they are having the time of their lives against pak.

Good sign for Pakistan - Youhana was able to smack Tendulkar all over the place thumbup333 India will need to seriously rethink how he or Yuvi is going to bowl if the other Pak batsmen pick up on this.

Also interesting was how Tendulkar was not brought on to bowl until after Butt was removed. We need a left handed batsman to face Sachin & Yuvraj's Leg stumps bowling. We have just 1 Left handed batsman & in the next matches Butt should stay for atleast 25 overs on the wkt.

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

Winning for us is levellling the series 3-3

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

I think that its all about things not going Pakistan's way. Don't forget that they have drawn the series just when nobody thougth they would.

The team has the potential to go wining next four matches certainly but will be a tough ask. We must also not forget that they are playing in very bad hot humid conditions which is not easy at all.

who knows we may just have won the match had inzi stayed there for a bit longer, but then again its all part of the game.

But they must not play on such small grounds.

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

I have to agree with Saby that we need to make some changes;
Sami Out- In Shahid Nazir,
Hafeez Out - In Younis (If fit) else Asim Kamal

and if that loose handle of Inzi leads to a ban then Asim Kamal In

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

This is what we thought right after WC’03 when we lost Ws and Sami performed better… then we saw his decline and now we see his sporadic performances (a la old-Afridi in batting esp in opening). We’ll have to wait for another couple of matches or months to see another good performance from him now :frowning:

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

Here is for third victory in a row…

:bhangra: :nuch:

:mocking:

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

they shud stick with the same team, inshallah we will win :jhanda:

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

May the best team = India win ! Jai Hind

But this Pakistan team continues to amaze me - they actually made a chase out of it, faing 356! Right till the time Yoyo got out, it seemed they'd make it - somehow they seem better at attacks even though the Indian team wins.

The difference between win and giving a great fight, IMO is Shoab Aktar. I just don't see why they wouldn't fly / drive him over! The game will be lot more interesting. Right now the batsmen are outclassing the bowlers on both teams.

Now where did this guy Dhoni come from out of the blue? wow! I really really really hope Sahin and Ganguly get their touch back for atleast a few games before retiring.

With Kumble we're just average in our bowling but without him, we're praying for luck that magic happens. Who are the emerging spinners for India? Don't tell me it is Yuvraj and Tendulkar!

Very exciting series! (particularly because my team is winning)! Jai Hind!

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

^ Dont worry Atlantis mian. Indians had their victories for the series:D

Pakistan will win the series 4-2 insha’allah, tough ask but surely do-able :k:

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

Just because Younis is out? Tauba hai

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

Try the attitude factor… :slight_smile:and nothing else…hmmmm…you will win and win and win and win only…hmmmm

PS: :jhanda: Shahid Afridi & Pakistan Zindabad! :jhanda:

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

If Inzi the fatass hadn't tried to take a single that wasn't there, the result could have been much more different than the one we saw yesterday. Anyways, Pakistan still have the ability to fight back, but with every loss the Indian confidence is growing as well.

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur has not been a lucky ground of India. They always lost it there. But then it is Dhoni’s homeground.. !!! Its gonna be fun baby !!! Back to my City !!! The Steel City !!!
