I know that sindhi nationalist would be happy that sindhi, not urdu, was the major linga franca in sindh pre-partition, but the literary and economic sectors were run by non-muslims. How would it be better for muslims in undivided Indian Sindh?
Of course, there is no denying that west punjabis benefited as ethnic cleansing happened on both sides of the border. My dad's side of the family migrated from east punjab and he said that overnight, peasants became landlords with that much bakri, gai and utna kanal of land. Sikhs / Hindus used to control disproportionate amount of lands compared to their population in west punjab.
If your fathers family migrated from east Punjab, doesn't that make you a Punjabi? My fathers family also migrated from Punjab, gurdaspur. Most of the migrants had to start afresh.

In all honesty, I’d say half punjabi. My dad does speak fluent punjabi but none of us do. I’d say that a lot of muhajirs in karachi are from east punjab as anyone from india is categorized as such in sindh.
Yeah, but some of the land was set aside to help the incoming migrants. That was stolen as well.

You are full fledge Punjabi, I don’t know why some punjabis in Karachi would consider themselves mohajir. I know of some Punjabi families in Karachi, they way their kids speak its difficult to judge who they are.

Shyed jo "bahir" se aye huway hotay han oon ko zyada loyality show krni hoti hai. Qadir magsi is a bloch but leading a sindh based party in sindh.
Kashmiris of Gujranwala are die hard supporter of PMLn.
