You all say he has accomplished a lot. I don’t deny that. But how is it relevant to his current job? I know off the man well enough. Put it this way. In his nearly 4 years in New York he has only the UNSC to show for his work. We have lost most of our election bids in the past 4 years. We lost our seat at ACABQ. We are losing Pakistanis in higher ranking posts in New York on a regular basis. I believe we also lost our bid on the G-77 chairmanship as well.

There are many reasons why posts go to this country or that. A lot of politics. A lot of quid pro quo and dealing. Stuff you and I don’t know about. The main thing to look at is if he represents the country well. Does he provide a diplomatic, courteous, reliable face to the country as a whole, in the arena of other diplomats and representatives? Does he speak up and express the will of the elected govt of Pakistan? If he does that, then he is doing his job well.
