Thanks all

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

The best driver license in Pakistan is money. Anybody stops you hand over some and you are good to go , you will find this advice in the thread I quoted too.

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

My brother's driven in Pakistan many times with UK license, in a car my Uncle hired for him.

I've driven in Pakistan too and all I had was my UK provisional...never got stopped though.

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

Have you been driving in pakistan in the past? If not then I would reccommend you to avoid it... Its almost a mission to drive in THAT traffic where bikes, cycles, rickshaws etc are almost bumpin into you ALL the time, however if you are use to it then there shouldnt be a problem with UK license as I knw many people who drive on their british driving license, dont think there is ever been a problem

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

Hey thanks a bunch I do have a UK license and giving them money will proberbly be the only way :naraz: never mind… i hate the idea of being stopped by them men eeeeeeyyyy the way they luk at you is enuf to put you off driving for life

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

Na i've never driven there in the past..... just want to have ago realy... the only issue is now the car i can't stand the idea of driving a crappy car and as you mentioned a nice new one might get damaged.... I'll have to risk it, i wnt be doing no motor way journeys or anything like that

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

I know what you mean.
Roam around in shuttle cock burqa and nobody will be able to cast an eye on you. Seriously burga should be mandatory in Pakistan only to save our women from the piercing eyes of perverts.

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

LOL i’m going for a wedding i’ll be dead by the time the wedding has even started if I wear a burqa not to say the weird looks i’ll get from relatives…
Trust me its alost as if though they’ve never seen a female before yuk yuk yuk
Do you get the same problem when you go abroad

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

No I do not because I have a salt and pepper beard and mustache.

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

^ Ooops your a man :p

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

You dont need one, have some money in your pocket. and since you are a guy, it is less likely they will stop you anyway.

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

Ooopppssssssssss, just noticed you are a girl!! good luck then, and don;t worry about the license, its not gona help you anyway, taking a guy with you is a better option, or maybe a few extra numbers to hand to the traffic warden, they'll release you instantly :D

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

She is not a guy .

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

LOL yeah im a girl!!!! i think i'll end up handing out loads of petty cash..... My mum in the passanger side it is :Dher evil look is enough to kill

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

Thanks :flowers:

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

You are welcome , there is another way of dealing with police walas in Pakistan , if they stop you for any reason , your mistake or not , you should know the name and phone number of at least one DSP to tell them that this car belongs to that particular DSP and they will let you go. Do not fake it , you can be in deep trouble if some honest police wala wanted to check if you are faking it.

I have used this trick many a times back home , my contact was genuine and when once a smarty pant decide to check with my friend that smarty pant got his ear full from that friend of mine. They stopped me for no genuine or particular reason. They just wanted to show their authority and were jelous of my shiny , new big car. :snooty:

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence

My friend knew a traffic constable and he used to say when ever stopped by other traffic cops that he is nephew of that constable…

one cop asked his name then thought for a while and replied back that how can he be your uncle as you both belong to two different castes…

that was pretty embarrassing moment for my friend…:hehe:
