Re: Pakistan Driving Licence
My friend knew a traffic constable and he used to say when ever stopped by other traffic cops that he is nephew of that constableā¦
one cop asked his name then thought for a while and replied back that how can he be your uncle as you both belong to two different castesā¦
that was pretty embarrassing moment for my friendā¦
See that is why I said your contact should be genuine not fake.

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence
You are welcome , there is another way of dealing with police walas in Pakistan , if they stop you for any reason , your mistake or not , you should know the name and phone number of at least one DSP to tell them that this car belongs to that particular DSP and they will let you go. Do not fake it , you can be in deep trouble if some honest police wala wanted to check if you are faking it.
I have used this trick many a times back home , my contact was genuine and when once a smarty pant decide to check with my friend that smarty pant got his ear full from that friend of mine. They stopped me for no genuine or particular reason. They just wanted to show their authority and were jelous of my shiny , new big car.
They were most likely jelous of the new swanky car I donāt know any DSP Knowing my luck iāll end up in more trouble for trying to bribe the officers or i can just play stupid and pretend i dnt understand what theyr saying (but some how i dnt think it will work)

Re: Pakistan Driving Licence
Hello,
I'm travelling to Pakistan later this year and want to hire a car. I was wondering if my British Drving Licence can be used there?
Thanks all
that should work i guess. If not, give 10 sterling to any money changer in Pakistan and he will give you at least 14 driving licenses in return :)
The best is that get a car with driver (that is how most of the rent-a-car compines in Pakistan prefer doing business)

Try replying back in spanish. If they start to catch on, try jamaican twang. Somethingās gotta giveā¦
On a more serious note, and to keep it legit. I would think the local consulate office should be able to direct you how to get an International Driving License.

Once i was involved in an accident. It wasnt completely my fault n the other party was really bugging me. So i faked a call to the DIG n requested him to send an inspector, as these ppl were really getting on my nerves:D when iturqned around, they were gone. Only the usual mob wasthere
