Pakistan Day!!

It started with a dream by some philosopher named Iqbal. These intellects or poets often dream and fantasize a lot.

But this thing was different. As it was supplemented by the powerful leadership of Mr. Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his team alongwith the enormous sacrifices of a huge mass in subcontinent.

As a result, PAKISTAN appeared on the map.

We all should be thankful as well as put our efforts behind the growth and development of this country so that dream and all the struggle afterwards dont go in vain and the country sustains forever inshallah.

HAPPY PAKISTAN DAY everyone!!

Re: Pakistan Day!!

Re: Pakistan Day!!

when we start forgetting ethnicity and religion both are not the measure of patriotism… Pakistan would become number 1 nation.

Re: Pakistan Day!!

who is in black cloth?

Re: Pakistan Day!!

To be honest pakistan is a multi-ethnic state, the only thing holding these different ethnic groups together is " Religion"… Religion is nothing less than a life-line for Pakistan..

Re: Pakistan Day!!

100% right

Re: Pakistan Day!!

is that the reason for soo many many fatwa factories in Pakistan?

Re: Pakistan Day!!

I cannot emphasize it too much. We should begin to work in that spirit, and in course of time all these angularities of the majority and minority communities, the Hindu community and the Muslim community – because even as regards Muslims you have Pathans, Punjabis, Shias, Sunnis and so on, and among the Hindus you have Brahmins, Vashnavas, Khatris, also Bengalees, Madrasis and so on – will vanish. Indeed if you ask me, this has been the biggest hindrance in the way of India to attain the freedom and independence, and but for this we would have been free people long long ago. No power can hold another nation, and specially a nation of 400 million souls, in subjection; nobody could have conquered you, and even if it had happened, nobody could have continued its hold on you for any length of time, but for this. Therefore, we must learn a lesson from this. You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place or worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed – that has nothing to do with the business of the State. As you know, history shows that in England conditions, some time ago, were much worse than those prevailing in India today. The Roman Catholics and the Protestants persecuted each other. Even now there are some States in existence where there are discriminations made and bars imposed against a particular class. Thank God, we are not starting in those days. We are starting in the days where there is no discrimination, no distinction between one community and another, no discrimination between one caste or creed and another. We are starting with this fundamental principle: that we are all citizens, and equal citizens, of one State. The people of England in [the] course of time had to face the realities of the situation, and had to discharge the responsibilities and burdens placed upon them by the government of their country; and they went through that fire step by step. Today, you might say with justice that Roman Catholics and Protestants do not exist; what exists now is that every man is a citizen, an equal citizen of Great Britain, and they are all members of the Nation.

Mr. Jinnah’s address to the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan

Re: Pakistan Day!!

Harr baat ma kiraay nhe nikalny chahyen vaisy … every sect has its own fatwa factory and they issue fatwa inside the framework of a "Common Religion.. As long as you keep reciting Kalma, the other sects do give you a right to issue fatwa and all these sects gang up together when they are up against minorities…

Re: Pakistan Day!!

Soooo
Is that a Yes?

Re: Pakistan Day!!

I meant to say religion is the glue that holds them together.

Re: Pakistan Day!!

When you say religion…You talking about.islam only.or other religions in Pakistan as well?

Re: Pakistan Day!!

Yup ISLAM only … other religions together make only 2% of our total population.

Re: Pakistan Day!!

Majority is authority and that’s why fatwa factories should be allowed to pollute regardless of sect. Got it:k:

یومِ پاکستان مبارک!

Re: Pakistan Day!!

IF fatwa’s are issued for refining the frame work with in a sect is working than I dont ahve any problem . Problem starts when the fatwa factories start announcing ppl of other sect as kafir . Once this is done , we have so many innocent , illiterate ppl like Mumtaz qadri , ready to kill the " KAFIR " to go to jannah.

Re: Pakistan Day!!

Re: Pakistan Day!!

Great Day, It was the day when Muslims if India started their struggle for Pakistan..

Pakistan may have many short comings and it may not be the ideal state we were pursuing back then, it may have all the ills one can think…still it is the only place on this planet which i can call homeland! Once we mentally accept it, surely we’ll work on making it better place…
