Bhutto was part of the military establishment until it suited him & he was instrumental in breakup of the country. Who can forget his famous "idhar hum, udhar tum" speech?

We need to accept blame from all sides.

Our military establishment has been cruel to people. The biggest reason is not that they are evil, but they do not respect or trust civilians with anything. They believe they are above trivial things like rule of law.

Our civilians have don't nothing to earn that respect anyways. The chaudhries, sardars and wadiaras have exploited people and their ethnic, linguistic and religious sentiments to shine their own political careers, financial positions and grip on social, cultural and religious lives of their 'subjects'.

Results are for all of us to see.

That was lie of the century. Jamaite Ha.r.ami with the connivance of Mardood Zia-ul-Haq, distorted the history. How ever from now on I agree with those who have contempt with Bhutto. He should have got separated Sindh after humiliating defeat from India in 1971 instead bringing back the disgraced, destroyed part of the country back to its feet.

Bhutto definitely was in trouble in his life and is still in problem after his death. Our nation needs a crash course in history instead of falling for slogans ‘Idhar hum , idhar tum’. If Bhutto was only responsible for Dhaka fall, then these very people remain ready to hear what Liaquat Ali Khan said about Sindh’s culture (maftooha ilaqe main basne wale gadhon aur ghoRon ke paalne walon ki koi saqafat nahin hoti) and what Mr Jinah did to Bengalis.

Army had a big role BUT no one should forget that to come in power, Bhutto the egomaniac conspired with the regime to keep mujib from coming into power.

As for Sindh, the wet dreamers can forget it ever separating from Pakistan not just because the army can come beat you up, but because no matter what altaf hussain might say, urdu speakers and the other people that live in the urban areas of Sindh would not let it happen that easy considering the ethnofascists like JSQM, sindh taraqqi council blah blah blah would turn their attention to them and massacre them in thousands. I don't believe that pakka qila is forgotten yet.

As for perceptions of sindhis in Pakistan, it wasn't just scapegoating liaqat ali khan but mahir ali who wrote an article (posted here) about how perception of sindhis is different in pakistan vs. india as india's sindhis are prosperous, entrepreneurs and basically go-getters unlike what we have in Pakistan. If all communities / groups can get gaaliya'n then sindhis should be brave enough to hear them and then see what they can do to honestly improve their own lot. Punjab has army but you have to remember that for all its faults, mirpur sialkot gujranwala you name it had people who went outside of Pakistan and brought money and industrialized the cities back home. I think that there is a lesson to be learned here for the poverty stricken communities in Pakistan to not adopt the Blacks' attitude in america, but take everything as an opportunity like what Jews have done over the centuries.

Parhay likhay log can circumvent around problems but jahil people are welll just jahil .

To give an apt example, a two year old would find it hard pressed to survive w/o an adult while his or her parents might cry, moan and get sick, but a lost kid would not necessarily kill them.

MQM man, six others booked in murder case

NAWABSHAH: Police on Tuesday booked seven suspects, including a member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) zonal committee, for killing a Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) activist, Manzoor Channa.

Qurban Ali Channa, the brother-in-law of the victim, lodged an FIR (12/2014) at the Airport police station nominating MQM activist Farhan Ali Shaikh, Fayyaz Rangar, Liaqat Arain, Murtaza Rangar, Asad Rangar and two unknown suspects. The complainant stated in the FIR that the suspects opened fire on Manzoor Channa killing him on March 21. The MQM district chapter has strongly condemned the registration of the FIR against Farhan Shaikh.

Manzoor Channa was killed and another activist was injured in firing on the participants of a JSQM rally taken out on March 21 to protest murder of two party leaders, whose charred bodies were found in a burnt-out car near Bhiriya City the same day.

I agree with your Sindhi nationalist. And I also agree that what Bhutto did to this humiliated and disgraced nation to get back on feet due to his chrismatic and intelligent character, no politician since 1947 can match him. He did favor to people who ultimately became cause to his death. It was a very good time to get Sindh separated from Punjab and should have only focused on Sindh instead of thinking for whole nation sacrificing poor people of Sindh.

Much better than PPP. In fact, even PML-n could surpass it as PPP hasn’t done squat since bhutto’s time even if I vehemently disagree with a lot of his tactics and policies. You don’t even have a hope like in MQM with altaf biting the dust to at least start the fix because bhuttos are a clan and then zardari, talpurs anyone with “bhuttoisms” can take over the party. PPP is a lost cause.

Lets see what comes out of PTI as this party could be the deal breaker for the status quo if it turns out to be an institution NOT a personality cult like many other pakistani parties.
