Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

not really... i didn't visit this forum that often back then.

but it was idiotic for musharraf to make deals with those freaks. I believe pakistani army should have access to every part of the country and anyone who thinks they are going to have a little country of their own inside the country where they could harbor terrorists and thugs and make all kinds of weird laws should be brought to their senses with some good army style slapping.

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

I guess Musharraf Regime's biggest crime is letting these thugs back in Pakistan.

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

that would be true if they had ever left in the first place... most of the credit for this mess goes to the mard-e-momin mard-e-haq

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

The situation was nt bad in 2006. i went to swat and found it more liberalised than 2002 - kalam was almost murree like - of course we are talking about the visitors not the locals.

over the last 2 years the maulnah built up his base and by the time the army reacted - they could only do it through force. im guessing theyhave some sort of foreign support and therer would have been a major emergency had they captured besham - gateway to gilgit and china. it makes you think who are behind these people/? is the army playing tricks? rogue elemnts in the isi? india? america?

th people in swat learn that in the 90's that if the shriah movement started again tourists would not be visiting again and not many people earning. this is why the people of kalam must have said no to them. but then again why no resistance from pashtuns?

quite a few of the militants are outsiders. hw dd they end up here??

the war is not totally won - theres quite a few civlian casualties. a friend of mine said the army fires indiscriminately at times. a lotof swatis are angry witht he governmnent. moderate swatis are angry with the government for not bothering about a portion of their country and wonder why they are a part of pakistan whenthey got no help. more extreme swatis now see the army as enemies of their own religion.

the biggest problemn is - how can an untrustable lot win back trust?

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

Didnt need to impose martial law to achieve this victory tho. What was stopping the army pre-Nov 3? Dont tell me it was media and CJ and His Band OF Brothers.

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

200 million militants killed? Talk about a fib.

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

200 not 200 million.

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

where did that come from?

did they kill some in neighboring countries as well... the whole population of pakistan isn't even 200 million

LONG LIVE PAKISTAN ARMY! :jhanda:

Security forces seize Fazlullah’s base in Swat

Updated at Wednesday, November 28, 2007 1650 PST

PESHAWAR: The security forces Wednesday captured the stronghold of militant leader in Swat valley, officials said. “Security forces entered the town of Imam Dheri which was the main base of Maulana Fazlullah,” provincial government spokesman Amjad Iqbal was quoted as saying.

The whereabouts of Fazlullah remain unknown. “He has gone underground,” the official said. The cleric had a huge complex under his control in Imam Dheri including a mosque and a madrassa, or Islamic seminary. Prior to the recent clashes, some 200 armed followers used to guard the complex spread over an area of around two square kilometres (more than a mile). The base, some eight kilometres from the valley’s main town of Mingora, is located in the troubled Kabal district, where most towns have fallen to the government in the past two days.

Security sources in the area said the close aides of Maulana Fazlullah have also fled, including his spokesman, Maulana Sirajuddin. They quoted residents as saying they were seen heading for the mountains. :hehe: chickens are fleeing

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

I hope that this time around, news channels are not calling a holed up terrorist a hero or will not refer to him as shaheed when he eventually gets blasted. and MMA goons are not telling ppl like him "datay raho"

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

Did he flee on motorbike too? :hmmm:

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

^If they have escaped into the Mountains, they are going to remain a serious threat as now they can begin a guerilla campaign.
Hope Pak Army has what it takes to kill these people in their rat holes in the mountains.

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

Ahmmm! Ahmmm!

Swat is a mountainous area. Looks like they will leave Malakand and hide in the same cave system where their buddy Osama the caveman lives.

So the next destination for Pak army must be Bajore agency. These militants will not rest until they are routed from the area.

Another hoax spread by the Western Media to ensure some safety for some USA allies and family friends.

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

Yup. The MMA has been largely silent on the Swat issue, probably because people will start asking what they did to halt these fanatics in their 5-year rule over the NWFP.

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

English please, supposedly Reza is "Irani"

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

Neighbours of ours who are from Swat have told us that their family and friends back home have confirmed the Taliban/Al Qaida fighters have all fled, and the Pakistan Army has captured almost all their positions. People who had fled have started to return to their homes, and the Pakistan Army is on the streets, which has been such a welcome sight to all.

The Taliban flags have been ripped down, and in their place the Pakistan flag is flying again. :jhanda:

LONG LIVE THE VICTORIOUS PAKISTAN ARMY. :k:

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

God bless Pak army. Allah gives you reward for standing against tyrants, killers & thugs.
Pakistan Paindabad !

Re: Pakistan Army Victories - seize Swat peak, shut down extremists radio

:rotfl: Terrorist rats fleeing Swat have been captured in adjoining districts. It’s so good to see the local people hand these murdering Taliban straight over to the Pakistan Army, which just proves the loyalty they (tribals) feel for Pakistan. :k:
