Pakistan and New Years

What is up with Pakistani government? Not one darn thing for the New Years.

I feel so ashamed of Pakistan when I see so many countries with so many big festivals and events that happen right when the clock strikes 12.

Re: Pakistan and New Years

Thank God they got something right.

Re: Pakistan and New Years

..it's sad to see people like you say something like that. Pakistan is a Muslim country.. Muslims do not join in pagan culture.

Re: Pakistan and New Years

New Years is now pagan too???

:rotfl:

First you people say haraam to candy canes, and now January 1st is haraam.

Oh, now run along and scratch it out in your calendar. In fact, use an Islamic calendar.

The phrase “January 1” should send you screaming with horror…

January 1

January 1

January 1

January 1

January 1

January 1

January 1

January 1

January 1

January 1

January 1

January 1

Re: Pakistan and New Years

why should i run to an ISLAMIC calendar..

Re: Pakistan and New Years

Because January is haraam. In fact, English is haraam. Please do not post here in English anymore. Shukhran.

Re: Pakistan and New Years

just tell me what are you? christian? jew? hindu?

Re: Pakistan and New Years

I'm your worst nightmare.

Re: Pakistan and New Years

You should read this..

Re: Pakistan and New Years

PCG, have you ever heard of an Islamic Calender.
If you truly are a muslim, I like to see you open a new years thread before Muharram. Judging from your posts, I highly doubt that will ever happen.

Plus why should we celebrate a new year when 80+ thousand innocent people died and millions with no food, no clothes are still stranded under below 0 degrees cold weather. And you want to celebrate?

Re: Pakistan and New Years

Well you went ahead and lived your life when so many people died in the Tsunami. Uss waqt woh log yaad nahi aayein?

Re: Pakistan and New Years

where in his words do you see anything about tsunami?

Re: Pakistan and New Years

When did I ever disregard the victims of Tsunami, people with any sense of humanity never celebrate after such tragedies.

Re: Pakistan and New Years

Right, so then you go ahead, and not celebrate anything for the next 50-100 years of your life.

:)

Re: Pakistan and New Years

hate and anger blind judgement.

Re: Pakistan and New Years

Yes I will recognize my new years on 1st day of Muharram (Feb 22nd), but at the same time I will pay respects to the thousands of dead and millions of suffering.

Re: Pakistan and New Years

So you get to recognize your new years, but no one else can?

Re: Pakistan and New Years

True muslims should recognize their new years, while christians recognize their new years, chineses community have their own new years, everyone should stick to their traditions.

Re: Pakistan and New Years

So then celebrating Jan 1st, has nothing to do with tsunami victims or earthquake victims does it?

Re: Pakistan and New Years

There is a difference between celebrating and recognizing, you are using the Tsunami as an excuse for your ignorance about your faith (or lack of it in your case).
