I am for peaceful relations and trade with India as well, but pata nahin kiya hai forget Nawaz, the singers and even this girl from Lahore who was in an indian idol type program said the same thing. Maybe it is a metaphor or do they literally mean it? Khair MERGE AWAY like I give two f**ks about it anymore... Queer could be the new president which would work wonders for gay rights in Pakistan.

NS is not ideologically or religiously driven...he is business driven. He looks across the border and see market of billion people and all he sees is $$$. Btw, what is wrong with what he said? What has wars and killings in last 66 years brought us?

Here's what is wrong with what he said from my personal perspective:

Pakistan and India are not the same country. They neither share the same culture, nor the value system.

Your question about the benefits of wars is valid. A more valid question in the context of what he said would be: What has Pakistan gained by allowing Cultural invasion of Pakistan whether it's bootlegged movies, or the dramas? Where are the muslim values that Pakistan should have been projecting to its public? Instead what you get is Indian Entertainment tidbits being shown in the middle of Breaking News all day long.

All the best to India; Pakistan wants and needs stable neighborhood without anymore violence. But Pakistan should not, and go ahead and try to force it, it will not let Indian culture overcome Pakistani culture as a whole. Pakistani values should come from what majority of its' population follows as its faith which is Islam.

Though sad to say, it's hard to tell if the culture that's widely followed in Pakistan is still of a muslim heritage, or that of a non-muslim heritage.

Pakistan should conduct business with India, and let both economies thrive. But to say Pakistan and India are pretty much the same country is pretty much the biggest lie I've ever heard a Pakistani politician tell Pakistani voters in Pakistan. How shameless do you have to be to say that especially after the Samjhota Express, Gujarat Genocide, and countless other inhumane incidents that have taken place. Kashmir is still occupied under force.

You're right though, he only sees $$$.
