Do you even know that Indian gov has already and fully capitulated to the US demands on Iran? And that's precisely why IPI got shelved.
And before an Af-Iran papline works out, there will be one called IPI. But it ain't happenin until the permission from uncle sam comes to the Delhi mahals.
Let me indulge you for a minute and say IPI pipeline was stopped because of US pressure .... but what did India get in the trade off ... some say it was the nuclear deal. So if that was a trade off ... then not bad at all. For some time in future when US Iran relations are not so bitter , the pipeline can be restarted but at that point in time what India got viz a viz nuclear deal it was not a bad trade off. So uncle Sam's permission was not really required .... though for a watcher from across the border the situation might seem like one closer to home .....
Sure Paks have messed up in F-ghanistan and at least the reasonable people in Pak accept that.
On the same vein, Indian gov too have messed up in Af and I sure hope some Indians would at least say that "Indian gov policy needs to be updated".
Is it too much to ask?
Coming to Afghanistan ... don't really know which part of India policy you are talking about. India has security concerns from Afghanistan and would not like the Talibani idelogue to resurface there. And all efforts in Afghanistan are directed towards developement and improving the infrastructure on ground. So unless you buy the theory of hundreds of consulates, i don't see any "messed up" Afghan policy.
You are right. As far as India is concerned, govt of india has screwedup policy in Afghanistan. Personally, if any pipelies come to India from central asia, I want it to come via Pakistan. Only commerce and trade and mutual dependence can bring peace to the region.
After the fall of the soviet, you guys joined hands with them to break America (Soviets' revange from america) & break Pakistan (india's dream to take full control of the region) through using up america's resources (of the tax payers' money) by carry out wars with different muslim countries.
After Soviet collapse, India hardly had any influence in afghanistan and still does not have.
That's God's will & blessing. Because the sole purpose of your manipulation of the soviets & arabs to make america start this war in afghanistan through using their figureheads (bush, etc.) was to gain control of the region. A win win situation for hindia. break up of america would have brought hindustan to the forefront to become a super power & lead the world. not bad at all, isnt it?
Ask any guy walking on the streets of Kabul, what do they think of Pak fauj and policy of pakistan towards afghanistan? Any educated paksitani will know how much an average afghani loves or thinks of pakistan.
Yeah, all sane pakistanis & afghanis know that this is the main tool that indians used & still using to exploit afghanis & pakistanis against each other & create tiff between them because that's what manipulative india has always done................. divide & conquer. that's how they seperated east pakistan from us. and that's what their mission is in balouchistan through using the same tool.

^ yeah right. And let's all go pick daisies as India's energy comes to it from Iran flowing peacefully through Pakistan.
Can't trust these guys about who their leader is and you want to trust them with a gas pipeline.
Well at times, miracles do happen when you put your faith and trust despite the fact you dont want to.
Pakistan did not attack India in 1962 Indo-China war. I have more faith and trust in muslim pakistan than faithless Godless Communist China.

Pakistan did not attack not out of goodness of its hearts but unkil had a gun on Ayubs head.
Perhaps the “supplier” is “homegrown” … you should ask your government to check all the vendors who have imported Polproplylene from Reliance Industries Jamnagar … Here is a list (from Federal Bureau of Revenue Pakistan) of vedors who recieved this shipment … FBR| Federal Board of Revenue - Government of Pakistan
Busted again … time to ask your “planners” to watch some good movies bollywood
In that regard how should China and Pakistan use their extremely strong relationship to Stablize Afghanistan and bring it under their sphere of influence? Additionally what should be done to ensure the elimination of Indias already waning influence on the matter?
Kidding?
First helped Americans to devastate a muslim Nation and commit genocide of innocent muslims, than going to join hands with China. Khuda khair kare, CM saheb. I m already terrorized by ur dreams.
Afghanistan is important for the security and peace of teh region. The lawless country had become a festering ground for all kinds of elements who wanted to solve every problem by terrorising people. Unfortunately people in Pakistan had to suffer the consequences to understand the seriousness of the situation.
Of course establishment in Pakistan is still trying to deflect the issue from Taliban and blaming “others” for the supply of IED"s
