I have merged the two threads together as about three years ago Pakistan air force has stated tht they can bring drones down, and I think in the in camera meeting after Osama bin Ladin operation the PAF chief told the politicians that they can shoot down drones but can the government bear the international pressure after that which no one could give an answer to. The question is not if we have got the capability or not but it's if we have got the will to do that or not.

It was not long ago that Iran shot down a US drone. It was too embarrassing for the US gov to even admit that Iran was responsible. Now If there ever was a country that US was willing to jump on, Iran is the one!
But there was no war simply because US in not in a state for another! They are on their knees on Afghanistan, and Pakistan is the one country whose support they need.
Its pak that has the upper hand here, and if there ever there was a suitable time to shoot those drones down, it is now!
If they don't make a strong stance now, there is a good chance the drones will spread to the rest of the country. If they know they can get away with it, they will do it.
This leadership needs some backbone!

Do they really have the technology to shoot down? Vow.
If so why dont they they shoot the damn things down?
They don't have the guts to do it as they would be worried about further punishment / lashing the USA may hand out to its great and beloved friend Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
