Good idea, shoot down drones which are killing terrorists who are attacking pakistanis. And then wait for the US to pulverize the PAF within a week.

recently,a tv channel reporter visited a hospital in peshawar where injured army soldiers r treated..one of the major who was injured in wazirstan said tht drones attacks r harming our effects to isolate bait ullah mehsud from local people,tribes and fighters ..he even said tht local people fire on us when eva news of drones attack come...

My point is that from post number 2 until post number 23 people having read only the title of the thread assume that the article is written as a boast of Pak technology, BUT IT is NOT ... that all this rant about jihadi press and who those people think they are etc is irrelevant ...
Of course he is correct my argument is that exactly ... people should not judge without first reading things through very carefully. Pakistan media and the people in general are so far from jihad that it is worrying to see that people will even criticise their own agenda for appearing to be 'jihadi press' LOL.

Even saddam used to shoot them down, so bhai sahib might be right. Reapers fly higher, but I think it is the smaller drones that do the airstrikes.
Pakistan does have HQ-9 after an indian MiG-25 had buzzed islamabad in 1999 and that provides a high range as well.

Right... it is easy to point finger but remember if ya point one..three comes back at ya. If PPP leadership was so sincere..they could have made an effort to do something about drones. When Musharraf allowed drones..it was duty of "civilian" leadership to somehow diplomatically and effectively solve this issue. Again..it's PPP after all..
BTW in regards to topic discussed here. I am not surprised what Dr. AQ Khan is saying. I mean yo..if country like Iran can take down the drones..then we definately have capabilty to do so. And i remember one of our retired Air Cheif did also say that..we can shot drones down.

America has his kneels down on NATO supplies, agreed not to send more arms through the route,on Pakistan's demand,it means Pakistan if shows some real hard stance on drones then I think America will think thrice before attacking into Pakistan's territory... I think AQ is right that Kiyani is responsible for all that is happening!

^Actually it would be wrong to blame kiyani as our political leadership is very weak at the moment. The current General seems to be very respecting of constitution of Pakistan and do not want to beyond their means. For instance..in this case..it is job of our political leadership to say, "we will retaliate if attacked again"..the role of the army is to obey government's rule in parliament.
