in pakistan there are many incidents where girls have been the target of acid attacks due to girls rejecting guys when they ask them out for example…
how can such a situation be avoided by a girl because the last thing you would want is if a guy asks a girl out and she says no and then they throw acid at them out of revenge

I don't think you can completely prevent barbaric behavior. This kind of stuff happens everywhere, even in so called "developed" nations such as the US. I've read about a guy shooting a girl for the very same reasons...so acid or guns, the results are pretty much the same.
What I think people in our subcontinent are losing out on is the upbringing. I'm very disappointed about how kids are being raised back home these days. Boys have no restrictions, and some girls are pretty wild as well. Parents are too busy fulfilling social obligations and competing with each other rather than raising their children. It's a sorry state of affairs.

Have you noticed that if we simply turn back to the social values that Islam teaches us, none of this would happen. Its amaizng that people think that Islam is a barabric resligion although the purely non-Islamic concepts such as dating result into more barbaric crimes.

I am going to defend America in various ways because the institution educate students on these topics. Criminals in Pakistan do not get punished for their barbaric behavior and are openly doing whatever they want. America is 10000X more safer than Pakistan!

I am not going to deny that America is thousand times safer than Pakistan. What I am saying is that in countries like ours, more you stary away from your basic religious values, more crime will take place.

yup such things do happen and its terrible.
its the lack of education. a person should understand that they cannot have everything they wish for in life...they should try to get it by legal means but if they cant then they shouldn't be aggressive about it.
i would also blame some girls that their reaction to such things isn't appropriate like if a guy asks them out or shows interest in them then they behave rudely saying stuff like "you think i am gonna go out with you, have ever seen your face...you are not even worth my shoe etc etc etc) which can make anyone angry and feel humiliated. if a guy has asked them out then they should simple and nicely explain that guy why she doesn't wish to go out.
on the other hand the guy should also control his anger...it doesn't mean just because the girl has rejected him in an insulting way then he can throw acid on her or try to kill her. instead he should change himself and show the girl that he is very much worth for her and perhaps this time girl approaching him by herself (only if the guy really wants to be with that girl)

A lot of these girls were never girlfriends in the first place anyway, often nothing physical/sexual has ever happened between them.. the guy has maybe wanted her for marriage or a relationship and she's turned him down + told him to get lost or a husband feels he didn't get enough dowry when he got married.. Dating has very little to do with acid attacks imo

Acid throwing happens in areas where dating is frowned upon, so stopping youngsters from dating or lecturing them about Islam wont help much. Why? Because the barbarian in these men is very deep rooted, and it is traced back to their upbringing as a child, and it is allowed to happen due to lack of law reinforcement. Furthermore, I don't even know whether there are any laws on the books for acid throwing specificially, and if there are not, morons like Zardari and his goons are failing to design and implement these much needed laws.
The way to fix this is:
Promote better child-rearing methods in families, enhance family cohesiveness and support - helps raise fewer criminals
Address Socioeconomic frustrations among the people - behavior like this, often, is the result of not so much "lack of education", but these guys are VERY FRUSTRATED. They have poor economic opportunity, they watch as their families starve and so they feel inadequate as men, and then to top it off some girl doesn't give them a lift, and the boy dumps his frustation on vulnerable girls in the neighborhood.
Implement strong laws for these behaviors - and I dare say, the death penalty or something close to it, is adequate for these nightmares. IF anyone does have the desire to hurt a woman, they'll at least think twice because of this strong law.

Acid attackers should be punished by having acid thrown over thier faces. 
As well as the Human cost… it’s just a terrible waste of Acid…
