Re: Pakistan a brain injury Persistent vegetative state patients Jawad Pasha
It is very necessary for you the reader to understand the persistent vegetative state.
Some of you may be knowing about Terri Schiavo](Redirect Notice)It is a very famous case of US
In this case first time the right of mercy killing was granted to a US citizen , later it became a routine in west for persistent vegetative state. patients .
Terry was killed by blocking her PEG tube , feeding tube .
Now
We have blocked the tube of Jawad Pasha since last two days and Inshallah it will be permanently removed by next week .
It is a great development , Now he is eating and drinking by mouth
There are minor complications but hopefully we shall overcome on those . (don’t mind my poor English)
Need your prayers , please continue .
Need some specialists advise also .
Re: Pakistan a brain injury Persistent vegetative state patients Jawad Pasha
We are successfully moving towards removal of feeding tube , It could be first time for any persistent vegetative state patient’s feeding tube is being removed . It is risky and depends upon his further improvement . There is one Terry Wallis](Redirect Notice) who started talking after 18 years in PVS but he could not gain any other function . His mother told me that his bedding and feeding is same like when he was not talking . I am in touch of two former PVS of Pakistan , Both are much improved and having some disabilities but they can be called now normal . Doctors abroad are even not ready to believe , they say it could be wrong diagnosed . When I see at medical facilities for persistent vegetative statepatients
, I find myself total helpless . There are some 25 to 40 K persistent vegetative statepatients in US but there are no exercise machines made for them , No specially made wheel chairs or Tilting Tables (for standing) most required for such people . Case of Jawad Pasha can be helpful for other PVS , like this story here at GS . Persistent Vegetative State at Pasheen(Quetta)
Re: Pakistan a brain injury Persistent vegetative state patients Jawad Pasha
We have removed the tube on 24th may . The hole of the tube is ten years old so it is taking time however it going to be filled naturally . It was a big hole like a thumb of a normal man . Only very little dressing to keep it covered .His exercises and movement is restricted so going to be little fat . Technically it is a big achievement in medical records . Actually persistent vegetative state patients are most neglected people . A big number in the world but no record anywhere , No exercise machines , no support equipment are made for them anywhere in the world . Recovery rate is almost Zero , Only few in the history , some miracle type but surprisingly in Pakistan I knew two (other than Jawad) who came out of this stage , heard about others too . Jawad is unfolding the mystery of Persistent Vegetative state and I am very sure that his story will help thousands in future for more early recovery . Please keep praying for us because we need those .
Re: Pakistan a brain injury Persistent vegetative state patients Jawad Pasha
Alhamdulillah! The tube has been removed.
Please tell Jawad that we are all praying for him.....that tears come to our eyes every single time we read of another improvement.
May Allah continue to watch over him and grant him shifa, ameen!
Re: Pakistan a brain injury Persistent vegetative state patients Jawad Pasha
We are in 11th year with the blessing of God .
JAWAD is little more improved
I am looking mine and his role changing the life of the these silent human being
When I started in my weak & poor English and without any knowledge about using computer
Every medical site was declaring PVS without any consciousness , I wrote everywhere with my story
Often no reply but few individuals , Only one Australian organisation told me that they will work on this .
Today the world has recognized it .Hundreds of thousands People are in this trouble in the world . Need more attention One in five vegetative patients might be conscious. Can we talk to them?](One in five vegetative patients might be conscious. Can we talk to them? | Vox)www.vox.com
