By the way- I have never been to a Pakistani party in America where women have worn the above designs. Most women wear half or full sleeve shalwar kameez or kurta/pajama.. I myself being born and raised in America would never wear such above styles..I can't believe some ppl in Pak do..
my mom's side is hindu so i can wear normal sari blouses sleeveless stomach showing stuff around them but infront of my paki family and paki family friends i'd never be allowed to even show my ankles in the ever so popular capri pants trend, nor can i wear a sari with my stomach showing and the same goes for sleeveless. recently i just got my dad to let me wear a sari blouse that covers the stomach but had totally sheer sleeves. i was pretty lucky to get away with it i don't think he realized cuz one shoulder was covered the other had my hair so you know?
but ya i like to tell my dad that back home things are a lot more modern, the girls have the freedom to dress and show ankles and things aren't going nutzo because of it. he doesn't care to hear me whine and i guess i'm lucky i have a lot of hindu events i can wear those kinda clothes to.
