paki med schools

This salman ahmad happens to be a doctor as well :P

Does anyone have any info on Alliance institute of medicine, and how they work .etc.

website: http://www.gotomedschool.com

Is it worth going there. and they claim that their degree is accepted by both American and EU medical councils.

My cousin went back to Paksitan for her medical, got admission and she was all set. Few days before the school was suppose to start her name was taken off the list and her admision cancelled. Someone else had more contacts or could gave more rishwat. So be carefull.

As far as interest bearing loans are concerend. There are saveral clerics who have revisited this argument and gave new clarification that better answers these matters as it relates to modern world. And I know there are saveral islamic banks who have loan programs that comply the original shriya law.

Personally to me as a muslim there are far bigger issues in life than paying interest. I graduated from school thanks to loans and now I can better serve the muslim community.

Good luck... I would highly adivice looking into some muslim banks for loans and I would recommend studying in US/CA/UK.

Peace

Na yar Boston..this kind of thing does not happen in medical. Atleast not after the introduction of Entry Test. What happens mostly is that people can submit a writ against the result of MCAT ( Pakistani version) , their papers get rechecked, and then if an error is found, they're awarded the admission...and someone unfortunate looses his/her seat. Otherwise, the system is quite clear. Thats one thing I appreciate about Shahbaz Shareef who introduced it in the first place.

And Ebenzer
Are you talking about the institute in Faisalabad ? There is a private medical college there by a similar name .

Dactar sab … so good to hear that … finally we have a merit based system … but I’m sure Pakitani koom is very resourcefull they will find a way to crack it also:smack: I hope the system is computer based adaptive system like GMAT , impossible to crack and cheat :nono1:

Anyhow my cousins misfortune happened 6 or 8 years ago. So its been a while.

take care

thats pretty scary stuff about ur cousin. but i hope that doesnt happen to me, im just trying to get in on merit bases here. as far as interest, well i dont think the islamic banks give money for education, but im not 100% sure. and i dont really wanna become a doctor bad enough to take interest. i know im not a perfect muslim, but i have to draw the line somewhere, and interest is not a small gunnah, it's one of the worst. im not rying to point fingers at u, just stating the facts. but thanx for ur advice.
