pic three - i was looking down at my brother who was too lazy to get off the couch and take this pic. this is when we came home and i’d put my jeans back on, haha
pic four - this was also taken after we got home, hence the hair situation. all four babies took good, solid tugs at my curls since they were standing with their parents right behind us during pics. one baby, sure, but all four? haha, i couldn’t believe how attractive my 'do looked that they’d all have a go! i got my hair dresser to do my hair.

so back to user bride: well i pretty much did my own makeup n a family friend did my dupatta n teeka n stuff. my uncle got very sick so we didnt do a formal party, just a ghar ki daawat kinda thing...
eitherways.. my nikah will inshAllah be this summer. so if i contact this lady mandy, u hav any idea how much she will charge? and exactly what kinda makeup am i lookin at?? the deal is that i like the desi-touch brides! i like makeup which is really heavy on the eyes and stuff.. if she does the usual nude-ish gora kind makeup then i guess she wont be the perfect answer for me...

i have seen and we had enough weddings in our families so we have had experience with all the best ppl out there ...shirley Wu, dimple shaw, kavita suri,punita who work is excellent but service ummmm
until the last wedding we were referred to proVogue, her make up was flawless she gave us a very detailed consultation and designed a look with our input and her knowledge.
Does mandy have a website?? i m thinking of doing my makeup with Shirley, but going with the trial first. even thought i dont like her website but have heard alot abt her... so lets see.. i am getting married insha-Allah in oct. and desperately looking for a good bridal makeup artisit who can do pakistani style make up
does anybody know of Nusrat?? she does bridal makeup and she is from faisalabad. she used to work with diplex over there and now she is in mississauga??
Shirley is no dought expensive as well as fantastic, but these days she doesn't seem to be doing the job herself, instead send her neice to do the job, which is not worth the money she charges.
Yes you are right she is too busy and expensive which is not worth the money if she sends her neice to do her job, she should think about keeping her client happy by giving her own services.
Yeah, I’ve heard this too about Shirley. You should get it in writing that she will come herself, of course, if you decide to hire her. That is what we did.
For the trial, she did an awful job, so we told her what changes to make and made sure she did the make up as per our wishes. However, I have noticed on recent brides that she’s giving everybody the exact same look and/or sending her niece to do the make up.
She’s starting to get a lot of serious competition in the GTA …
I saw someone asking abt Shirley and Dimples work. I know Dimple does amazing mehendi, I agree Punita is always busy we got Punita for my cousin and even I had punita for my own wedding but she books soo many 2-3 brides from morning to midnight trying to do mehendi and we were the last ones, she showed up like two hours late and when she finally came at 9 pm as oppose to 6-7 we ended our mehendi at like 2 am in the morning thank god we had a day in between to catch up on sleep. Dimple's mehendi looks very good , make up I don't know she is alright. Just my advise please make sure they are not trying to squeeze you in, why do we pay soo much and not get first class service???
Yes for sure Dimple/Punita does really good mendhi as for makeup soo soo, as for shirley she is also soo soo nothing great about her, as she is too busy to even give her own service but instead send her neice to do her jib.
Dimple did a great job wiht the makeup and mehndi, I found her by accident/last resort, but I was very happy with her results! However, for my dvar's wedding I wanna try someone new...I think whomever my jethanis go with, ill go with as well...
