Kathleen hair studio did my hair/makeup for my wedding & she did a pretty good job, also for my friends & babhi.

Yes you are right she is more concern about the competition & not able to providing her services properly and trying to grab as much client as possible, thats why she is sending her neice to do her job. (which is not right ) why pay the price for others work.

Well the lady who did my hair/makeup is from Kathleen hair studio, she did a great job, I was actually refered to shirley, but no respond except when-ever I call I always get her machine, so I shopped around, then my friend refered Kathleen to me, I'm very pleased with her job.

not sure... i think it was reception and also nikah... but nikah outfit was plain-ish so they didnt do much... plus she's fair, got gorgeous skin and no issues with it, like dark circles or whatever... so its easy money for them i think!

For sure these day everything getting a bride ready is a easy money for the makeup artist, one thing for sure not so easy, as they have to be at the brides house so early, sometimes as early as 3:00 am in the morning, i.e not having enough sleep is not a easy money eh??????????????????>>>>>>>>>>>>>what do you have to say?????????????>>>>>>>>

what?? who arrives at 3am to do your makeup? what? who did this happen to? as for easy money, i was referring to how they didn't have to do much makeup on my friend, specifically, since her complexion is flawless as opposed to someone with bad skin on who they'd have to work for a while. the only time i can see someone's makeup artist arriving at 3 am is if they're having a morning wedding, i.e. 8 or 9 am, and they have a huge bridal party that also has to get ready. how many of those weddings happen/have you gone to?

i think they do charge way to much, i mean in the uk ur looking at least $800 even $450 in canada is too much, i mean it takes a couple of hours and miminal overheads especially when goras charge like $200, why are we paying so much more for a brighter colours and a bit of tikka and jhoomar setting?!?!!? saying that, i'm moaning but still forking out the ££££ for a makeup artist, but what can you do?!?!!?

I know couple of friends who had to be ready by 7a.m, yes with couple of ladies in the family need to be ready, I bellieve one had shirley coming to her house as early as 3 a.m. I would advise any bride just get one person just to do the bride instead of the who family (its more stressful for everyone). Shirley did an awaful job on the bride.
These day she is very serious with the competitation, that she send her neice to do her job.
I think Dimple is pretty especially her mendhi, as well as Punita (but she is too busy too like shirley,) but quit fast with her mendhi application.

Does anyone have pics of makeup done by expressions? My cuz had her makeup dun by them for her valima and she looked great, but then i've heard sum mixed reviews from others. I guess i'll just get a trial dun before I decide.....there goes another $60!!

Anywhooo...if you have any pics...or experiences with them...please do share!

well i called xpressions but Amber is getting married week after mine and she cant do it, but ruby is available but for one day only... and they charge sooooooo much... damn!!... i called shirley too. but havent heard back from her.... so lets seee what happens now
