Shirley is amazing,
and her sister - maggie is equally as good. I had my Walima make up from Maggie and everyone loved it MORE than my barat make up. The style that shirley+team do on the makeup is totally different than any other make up artist. I wanted a TOTALLY different look on my walima. Seher did my barat make up - she is also very talented, i had my engagement makeup done from Seher as well.

Dun go for shirely, she charges way too high( even thu i believe its onece in life time you shouldnt care for money) but her make up is reaaly ordinary which other make up artist will do in their party make up rates ... I like Honey;s Beauty Lounge by Hafsa ( you can check her website) Xceptions by Noreen

Hi Tina4u, I'm selecting a makeup artist for my wedding next summer iA. I have 3 picks (Naila Tausif, Fero Saleh & Hasfa -- Honey's beauty lounge) after going through their profiles. However, after consultation when I compared the prices for all three artist, Hafsa'a rates were quite noticeably lower than the other 2, so I thought her standards wouldn't match the other 2 and it wont be worth getting any trial from her but ur words made me rethink abt my decision. Have you seen her real bride(s) or heard of anyone who got her bridal makeup done from her?? Please let me know since it will realllyyyy help me!

I've seen a bride who got her makeup done by Hafsa and she looked really nice! The foundation was blended really well and the makeup was good. My personal favourite of the three that you mentioned is Fero though... I would go for her. I have seen party makeup by Naila not a bride so I can't give input there.

I used her for my wedding last year and she did an amazing job for all of my 3 events. All three days i looked completely different. and since i am no makeup person and i was afraid to try dramatic looks since she is more popular in Arabs and Afghans but she did exactly how i wanted my makeup& hair. I highly recommend her But this year she was booked with all the dates i wanted to get her, i think thats the problem with all popular makeup artist its hard to get hold of them and also booking them ..

After trying so many MUA here in Toronto, there is no one like Ayesha from Euphoria. She is friendly, extremely polite and actually listens to the client, her makeup is always flawless, what was most surprising to me was that she uses most of the products from Sephora like makeupforever/nars, and is just not just limited to one brand. I love each time Ayesha has done my makeup, my sister uses her all the time for makeup/hair, even my mom has gotten ready from her for my brother’s engagement and other wedding events and loves her :k:

My wedding is in Sept 2013 Inshallah and I still haven't booked my MUA :( I've contacted Shirley and Naila Tausif but I feel none of them want to give their rates through phone or email. :(
Booked her for $450 for my baraat. This is withOUT airbrush. If she uses hair pieces for a heavy dupatta, it'll be an additional $25-$50. If you want to do a trial it'll be $75 for hair and $75 for make up. This is as of Nov 2013!

I've seen Naila Tauisf work in person and it is flawless. Before shirly was the top makeup artist in Toronto but now Naila Tausif is no one makeup artist/ hair ... Specially her airbrush is sooooooooo flawless and she does amazing /blended eye makeup...She did recently my cousin bridal makeup all three days she looked completely diff and amazing...She is the only one who does all kind of makeup, Arabic, Canadian, Indian Pakistani. I highly recommend you book her for a trial. Naila Tausif is usually good with giving rates over the phone/email. I have been seen her since 4 yrs she is really good in pre wedding stuff too like Bridal facial body polish etc .....My another cousin she is getting engaged in end of dec 2013 she wana book Naila Tausif but she is totally booked up so if she has date available please go for it otherwise you wont get her because i know how frustrated my cousin is because she couldn’t get her........... I personally don’t like hafsa’s makeup specially her airbrush is really bad my friend got it done by her ...It was so cakey and patchy fero was okay not impressed by her work tho .....Best of luck girl :)

And specially Naila Tausif is the only one who does PAKISTANI STYLE makeup too...Like sabs and allanora kind of makeup at the same time she does simple bridal makeup too but shirly cant do that :) Shirly does one look for all the brides that i dont like it i hv seen 3 brides in different yrs and they hv all the same look same eye makeup same hairstyle ...So you better check it out girl

to be honest I like hafsas work alot too. I ve tried Pakeeza and Hafsa, both are realllly good. I also heard Naila tausif learnt makeup from Hafsa.
if I was to compare i think Hafsas work is very different... more like afghan arab style and she can change your look completely. Pakeeza is very versatile you can give her any look pretty much. she blends really well and her foundation is not cakey at all (personal preference)
shirley wu can be trusted cus she wont make you look like a clown.lol. most of my cousins have gotten their wedding makeups done by shirley... some looked good but she will make you look slightly darker and her work looks the same always.

I've seen a bride who got her makeup done by Seher and she looked beautiful! That was the only time I saw a bride by Seher and she was a complete stranger - I was getting my makeup done and a bride and her sister waked in to get the sister's saree set by my eyebrow lady. They both looked gorgeous!

I ve seen summeras work on my cousin and she looked horrible. I know girls who got makeup done by seher and theres good & bad reviews both for her.
i think her work is good if you have nice eyes already. otherwise you are taking a chance.
