Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

Anyone heard of Lang of Salon Diva in woodbridge? She travels to you for the wedding. Punita, the henna lady recommended her. She also recommended Amplified Soul, Angell, Shirley and Xpressions.

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

I haven't even considered anyone for henna yet lol. I've also spoken to a girl name Sehr Sultan, from Sehr Studio and she said she takes $400 for bridal.
Do you know how much Wania charges for bridal?

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

Madinahme, my friend does stunnningggggg mendhi for brides and she is very reasonably priced as well. She doesn't advertise her services (she gets her clients based on word of mouth) because she does have a full time job as well.

Anyway, if you are interested PM me and I can show you some of her work and tell you her rates.

Also, good look with finding a makeup artist! I agree that makeup is soooo important! Just find the artists you like, pick the top 2-3 and go for a trial. It's worth the money! I would recommend Angell's work.

When are you getting married again?

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

I'm getting married in July in Brampton. I would love to see some mehndi pictures, thanks :)
Yeah I think I will get a trial done from Wania, Angell. I saw Noor artisty's work as well, I liked it. I want to have my dress in hand before I go for these trails

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

^^ When are you getting your dress?

Also when in July are you getting married? My friend tried to book Noor for an event in early July, but Noor herself is getting married around that time so she won't be able to do it.

It would suck if your preferred makeup artists get booked by the time you get your dress. Why don't you find a heavy kaam dupatta of similar colours or something and get your trial based on that? At the end of the day, the colours of your makeup can vary, but at least you'd be able to get an idea of how you click with your makeup artist in general, and get an idea of the quality of their work.

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

I must say that before booking up your appointment with anybody check it out NAILA TAUSIF on Facebook . I luv her foundation base its very soft, flawless and natural ...... but i dont like wania's foundation its tooooo cakeyyyy

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

Rani can you send me your friends info please? I'd love to get in touch with her and see her work. I need a mehndi girl to come to my house for me and my family in 2 weeks!

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

I went for a trial with Paali in Brampton 2 days ago. She charged me $60 for the airbrush trial which I thought was really pricey. Her colour matching was good for concealer and foundation. It also seemed like she was on the same page as me in terms of listening to me and understanding what kind of look I was going for for each event (engagement, mehndi, reception, etc.). However, the end result was not good. Way too much foundation. Did not look airbrushed at all...it might be her lighting she has. In the dark it looks fine but I told her I would be taking pics outside so it has to look natural. After the trial when I went to my car my mom was not impressed! I had to go to the store afterwards and i was embarrased to walk in like that!

Anyway, I know the trial is not supposed to be perfect but I really don't think she has the artistic technique of putting on makeup. Knowing when to stop with colours is really important. That was my experience. Lots of makeup suit some people...my sister can get away with it...but my face suits more of a natural look... I did not look better with Paali's makeup.

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

Oh yeah...I also forgot to mention that I kept the makeup on for about 6 hours. Within the first 20 mins my mascara was smearing everywhere under my eye. So you can imagine what it looked like after 6 hours...

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

^ That's what I'm scared of. My make-up to start falling apart after some time

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

I had a friend who had Paali for her wedding - for ceremony in the morning and then reception. The makeup was fine but nothing amazing. I think Paali is overpriced considering the quality of her work.

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

Check out Fero Saleh. She's Afghani, but has done a lot of Pakistani brides. I did my trial with her a few weeks ago and then booked her immediately! She was amazing. Her technique was good, she was an excellent listener, and not at all forceful of her opinions. I was really impressed with the result. It looked great in her studio, not as good outside in the light of day, but then good again when I got home. It lasted throughout the day, there was def a difference after 8hrs but it wasn't falling apart.
I'll let you know if the wedding/valima go as well as the trial!

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

^ is this her page? Facebook

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

^ That looks more like her private page. This one showcases more of her work: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=33580451936&v=wall

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

ummm...she's got pictures that aren't her work. Eg. Hena (the Shakeelz bride) used Lessone on her mehndi but Fero has posted her pcitures.

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

Lesonne contracts out a lot of their MUA's and Fero has worked with them too. I read in a post somewhere where Hena herself credited Fero for her Mehndi look.
Lesonne uses Wania and a few other well known names too.

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

So I booked this girl Tuhina...she's great! Makeup is not her full time job so her prices are REALLY reasonable. I knew she was the right one after the trial. I went outside in the natural light and it looked really good. She used brands like Vasanti which is more suited to our skin colours. All in all I was really impressed. After the Paali experience, I decided not to go with airbrush...

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

Does she have a facebook group or website?

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

I had amplified soul for my reception. THey were amazing. Actually they kinda were my guardian angels since my original MUA cancelled (yes i know) a little pricey i thought but i got hair and makeup (airbrush) and no charge for eyelashes. They came to my house on the big day and did everything there. I have eczema and my skin started acting up and they did whatever they needed to do to make it work. My hair was also done as I wanted, the dupatta setting was also how i wanted it and didnt move an inch the whole night even though i was dancing and everything! Message me for more info if you need.

Re: Paki Bridal Make-up in Toronto

For anyone looking for a MUA only, let me know. I had a lady from Vasanti do my makeup for 75 bux and it was exactly the way I wanted it. The only reason why I didnt go with her for my reception was because the lady who did my hair on the shadi day was not avail and I had to look for someone who did both hair and makeup. (Also note this lady from Vasanti is not the makeup lady who bailed on my reception. SHe was punctual and didn take too long to do the makeup)
