Omg I’m so glad I found my MUA after so much research.. forget Shirley Wu , Jannel, Lesonne bridals, Hafsa, or any other MUA.. this lady is amazing.. I’m so glad I went for a trial with her.. her name is Afreen and she is located in Mississauga. I wish I could post my pics but I cover so I won’t.. I guarantee you guys will love her makeup! I’m so picky about my makeup I didn’t like any1’s makeup ..some of the artists couldn’t even cover my acne and my face looked so cakey.. so go ahead try her you will fall in love with the makeup.. I feel like crying right now that I finally found some1 amazing!! she has all the products that MUA use in Pak cuz she was a beautician over there.Her no. is 905-997-0701

I'm looking into Amplified Soul for my wedding and mendhi and its coming to $400 for each day. Is this realistic? Do people pay this much for quality work?

Is anyone else more reasonable but still does a good job? I want to feel like a princess on my wedding day, but not a paper-bag princess.

I don't know if it's reasonable or not, but yes, a lot of people do pay this much. My sister got her walima makeup/hair done from Shirley and payed around that I think...but this was 2 years ago. If you search some more, you may be able to find a more affordable makeup artist whose makeup style you admire.

My friend went to Hafsa for a trial, but she was not thrilled with the results. She didn't contour her face very well, and she put the lipliner like OUTSIDE of her lips even though my friend has nice full lips to begin with.

Has anyone been to Nargis? She's that former Pakistani actress/dancer (my dad called her a third-class "actress" LOL) that has a salon in Markham. She actually did a really good job with my friend's baraat makeup trial!

^ i saw a girl geting ready for prom there..and nargis was doing her makeup...it was not bad...she did the eyes too dark though but i think the girl wanted that...hair was good as well...my friend saw a dulhan geting her makeup done on the weekend and she said she looked really nice....i think shes really expensive though

R u paying $400 for mehendi makeup as well? That doesn't sound right.. why is she charging the same amount for mehendi? My MUA charges $200 for wedding/valima.. and she is sooo good mashAllah! Why should I pay $400-500 to someone just for one day if I can get it done at a more reasonable rate and a better job from somewhere else! So my suggestion to all the brides is to look around and if you can get someone at a reasonable rate then go for a trial with that person! My MUA is seriously a hidden gem! I don’t think she advertises herself so probably ppl don’t know much about her.. I got to know her through a friend..

here is a brief description of my trial wit her:

  1. my face was already moisturized so she put a primer 1st

  2. She took kraylon foundation sticks and blended 2 or 3 shades with a sponge to create a perfect shade for my skintone..she has other brands too but mostly that is what they use on brides in Pak. She kept blending it until it looked flawless.

  3. Loose powder

  4. Shimmer powder to give that glowy effect

  5. bronze shade to contour my cheeks and nose

  6. blush

  7. eyes ( used like 4-5 shades and still looked like only 2 or 3 shades were used..she blends it very well) and penciled in my eyebrows perfectly
    8.Lips –moisturized it, penciled in, mattifying lipstick, lipgloss and lip plumper

It seemed like she was getting me ready for my actual day not for a trial. Makeup is her passion and as far as I remember she did a makeup course from Bina Khan in Karachi.

If you guys have anymore questions do ask.. I’m willing to help anyone with this info cuz went through the same thing and I really know how it feels!!!

Plzzz ladies don’t pay $400 n up for just one day..these MUA know brides r willing to pay any amount and they take that advantage and rip us off!

When i went for my wedding trial with **Hafsa, **i showed her a pic from allenora website and she told me that it wont go with my eye and face shape but i was in love with that look that i wanted to try it, and i end up looking chinese so she gave me another trial and i left everything on her and i loved it… so sometimes we have to trust the professional as they know better then u. I wish i could upload my wedding pics but i wear hijab. After my wedding, all of my cousins and friends are getting it done from her

Best Makeup & Hair in GTA (ON, Canada)

Hi guys,

So far I have narrowed down who to get my hair & makeup down to the following choices:

  1. http://www.shirleybeautyconcept.com/ I would have liked to go with Shirley but she already has a bride booked for 5:00 P.M. for my date. I can try and see if she will take me earlier and am looking into that right now.

  2. http://www.angellsbeauty.com/ I left her a voicemail & email but haven’t heard back yet, so don’t know if she has my date available.

  3. http://www.xpressions-ra.com/ They have my date available and I did see a bride they got ready and she looked decent. I don’t like their website pics as much as the other two above though.

Which do you think would be the best out of the 3? Also, anyone else I should consider? Thanks!
