I personally dont think that one should have a bias opinion based upon one person's experience. I think for LD she needs a robot, where she can feed in data, and that computer do what she wants, OR if she know so much, why does'nt she does it herself.
If all the above mentioned makeup artist were'nt competent, they would be in business for so many years, and making brides happy on their big day.
I personally think every one has their own taste and preference. If i dont like to buy something from Walmart that does'nt mean Walmart carrys bad products or their quality is not up to standard.
Hi Star,
Actually, I don't require a robot I just would like someone to do a good job, which makes me look good for my wedding, every bride's dream is too look good. I'm not expecting to turn into Aishwarya Rai, but to just look better with makeup than I usually do. I've had makeup artists I've liked before and makeup artists I don't based on party makeup alone. I'm not an expert or I would do it myself.....
Also, I did not say these makeup artists were incompetent, and by no means they are. They are all very nice and very professional. I'm only providing my opinion on the results they've acheived so far and I am not dissing them all, just providing pros and cons for each. There are definitely pros!!! And obviously there are cons, because no one is perfect = that concept does not allude me.
I am still planning on hiring one of the makeup artists that I will have been to a trial with (I'm still going to go to more), but just planning on politely asking them to fix the cons or fixing it myself.
With Dimple, yeah, it does look like I have makeup on and overall it is an adequate job, but I personally feel I can do better and look better without the makeup and that was NOT based on my opinion only but of family and friends (tons of) also, so obviously, this is not someone I will book, but perhaps others will like her look. I also liked Kathleen's look overall, but I would definitely do the eye liner and lipstick myself. And with Angell, all I would want is better foundation/concealer coverage. But, I'm still going to look around for other makeup artists that are up to par with makeup I have done in the past (those artists don't specialize in desi bridal makeup or I would have asked them) and choose the best one, knowing that there are cons for each one.
I just thought I would list pros and cons for each one for those people who are looking to book someone and whatever cons someone can deal with they can go check out a trial. Going for Trial makeup to alot of artists is expensive, so its best if we try to help each other out, rather than create negative energy.
At the end, its just my opinion!!!
