The squad hasn't been announced but Woolmer has hinted towards trying out new players and some rotation of players. Should be an interesting announcement. I hope Arafat gets a chance of being more than a super sub.

and i think its gud to see sami outta the odi team…maybe he can now work on backing up his pace with line n length…a year outta the team did a gud thing for shoaib…maybe itll do the same fer sami…lets hope so …wat wudnt india do fer a bolwer like sami…and wat r we doin…not even selectin sum1 wit that much pace…LOLL jus shows the richness of pace bowling talent in pk …mashAllah

I am surprised to see Yasir Hameed not in the squad, considering he made a fifty and a very good one too in his only match against England.

Shoaib Malik will not open in all likelyhood. Salman Butt will be partnered by either Kamran Akmal or Afridi.

I doubt Afridi will open, probably Butt will be paired up with either Akmal or Farhat. Although I would love to see Afridi have a go especially with these power play rules, but of late I think Afridi himself doesn't prefer playing up the order.
I still think the super sub should always be an all-rounder like Arafat. Otherwise lose the toss and its 11 vs 12. If the pitch is a genuine turning one like Rawalpindi, then Arshad should play instead of a seamer.
