Man thats the biggest disagreement we’ve so far in GS I guess. I think Dhoni is very bold and confident captain. Not defensive at all. just review his field settings, bowling changes etc. He was the biggest reason behind India winning the world cup. And outside India he isnt bad either. And he’s way better than kamran akmal whose picture you’ve drawn in the post.
Sorry. I meant what is Jadeja doing in the Test team. Defensive bowler. As a batsman, he throws caution to the winds. Not fitting of a supposed all rounder.

I agree too much all rounder in test not helpful. in 80's WI was on peak because of its 4 pacer, 1 spin, wk keeper and 5 recognized batsmen. Same case with Aussies who recommend to play with specialist batsmen and bowlers but now they have all rounders in their team and you have seen their performance in UAE. All rounder can work in ODI, T20 but for Test you need specialist batsmen and bowlers even keeper.

Yea I dont think there should be allrounders in test teams at all. Just 6 expert batsmen, 4 bowlers and 1 keeper. All pros.
Btw bro howzat can come anytime now to give both of us a stick towards the topic

Boult to Mohammad Hafeez, FOUR, how well has he been timing it this morning? That was not quite driving length, outside off, he simply leaned forward and caressed that on the up to the left of the diving cover fielder
10.2
Boult to Mohammad Hafeez, FOUR, back of a length, a little bit of width, and he steers it away to the third man boundary, opening his bat face, playing slightly away from his body

Boult to Mohammad Hafeez, FOUR, shortish, a lot of width outside off, and he helps it over backward point with a wristy wave of his bat

Sodhi to Mohammad Hafeez, FOUR, down the track, converts this middle-stump ball into another full-toss, and uses his wrists to drive it inside-out to the left of the short cover fielder
14.2
Sodhi to Mohammad Hafeez, no run, flighted and full on off stump, he pushes it to mid-off. Azhar set off for the single after he saw Hafeez take a few steps down the pitch. He sent him back and he had to hurry back into his crease

Sodhi to Mohammad Hafeez, FOUR, loopy delivery wide outside off. He stretches out, takes it on the full, and drives it away to the cover boundary. Superb timing, needless to say

Sodhi to Azhar Ali, OUT, given! Azhar goes for the sweep, wasn't full enough for it. It straightened from middle stump and hit him on the front pad. Umpire immediately gave it out, and Azhar didn't review Azhar Ali lbw b Sodhi 23 (47b 0x4 0x6) SR: 48.93
