tricky situation for Pakistan. Too much time still left in the game and Pakistan will eventually get out (unless and until Yousuf and someone else score big hundreds). It is important to score runs as well so that our bowling will have something to defend whenever they bowl.

yes...very tough to make this a draw right now....
At tea, Pakistan lead by 30 runs with 7 wickets in hands and 29 overs to go. If we dont lose anything than likely the lead wil be between 100-125. With Akmal on the crease and if he stays tll the end it is likely that the run rate will not stay below average.

All Pakistan need is not to lose ANY MORE WICKET TODAY. Thats it. Even if they score at 3 RPO in rest of the overs, it will be around 120. If they don't lose a wicket now, they can press the gas tomorrow morning in 2nd hour of play that is.
Bhanja has changed the equation by getting out 1 over before T. Had he been here ...we could have accelerated a bit after T.
I'll not feel comfortable unless their lead is 250+
If we look, in real we are 30 for 3 right now ...

Why is misbah not going to Rudy and tell about he Sun RIGHT INTO HIS EYES ? I man keeper , slip fields are having difficulty .... they have to shade their eyes ... Misbah is doing that too ..why just not walk to Umpire and tell him that I cant seee the ball instead of getting out? Its just like when its too dark ...... When will they ever get sense that its OK To talk to umpire?

Pakistan ended the day at 99/4. I hope they dont lose a wicket in first hour tomorrow…
I think NZ w'd be the happier of the two teams at the moment but not a bad day overall for Pakistan. The openers departed early today but thanks to Yousuf, Faisal and Umar we are still in the game
Barring a miserable collapse NZ should not lose this game. The first session before lunch tomorrow will decide a draw or NZ win
The bhanja (Faisa Iqbal) made 67 but he always looked 'very get outtable' with his airy fairy drives
Faisal plays very loose and needs to tighten up his defence. Not as compact in defence as his uncle (Miandad) but then we are probably comparing apples and oranges

We just lost one wicket too many. Had we been 3 down at the end of the day, we would have been in better position but I’ll take what Pakistani batsmen did on day 4. At least they stayed at the wicket. oh and here is a para from Kamran Abbasi @ cricinfo

It was smile all around as yousuf was showing “eyes” to Umar. Mcallum, Taylor (in slip) joking with Kamran …yousuf (instead of hard-code sledging) … yousuf joking back (yeah in English) … it was good to see players going along in good spirit in a tense game too … :k:
