Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

This match may end up in a draw unless something dramatic happens... :D

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

If Pakistan gets lead of at least 150~200 then on last day, they can out NZ easily :D I'll not say any double or triple ton from any one

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

132/2

Another century partnership under pressure

**Current partnership **100 runs, 39.5 overs, RR: 2.51 (Younis Khan 63, Azhar Ali 36)

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

84.4
Boult to Misbah-ul-Haq, OUT, he is gone! It's beautifully bowled. The last few deliveries has swerved in but this one keeps going away with the angle. Misbah hangs his bat at that and gets a healthy edge to Taylor at first slip.
**Misbah-ul-Haq c Taylor b Boult 28 (74m 55b 2x4 1x6) SR: 50.90

195/4**

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Poor shot by Misbah to get out... :D

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

very slow batting by both teams, barring a batting collapse this match is heading for a boring draw.

Pak 207/4

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

A Big inning is due on Shafiq

90.6
Boult to Asad Shafiq, FOUR, fuller on the pads and Shafiq flicks it beautifully through backward square leg

90.5
Boult to Asad Shafiq, no run, watches this one carefully. This was short but it doesn't get up too much, the batsman looks to duck under it first, but then defends it down the pitch

90.4
Boult to Asad Shafiq, no run, back of length delivery on off stump, defended down the pitch

90.3
Boult to Asad Shafiq, FOUR, woo! This is on the pads and it is flicked between the keeper and the leg slip, who is a bit wide

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

So batting 2nd Pakistan has avoided follow-on even losing their new openers cheaply

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

come on guys just grind them in the field like they did!

Azhar 71 from 219 balls

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

I still believe if Pakistan achieve 400 then they can win the match :jhanda:

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

I think it would be a draw, only 2 days left, NZ still ahead with a good lead

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Pakistan 281/6 at the end up day 4.
Need another 122 runs.

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Stumps - Day 3

Pak Ist inn 281/6...still a deficit of 122 runs...

Our tail is not as good as NZ's...so Sarfraz should try tomorrow to stay till the end... :D

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

But there is a tail wind that should help.

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

The wicket of Asad Shafiq has shifted the balance in New Zealand’s favor. Otherwise, the match was pretty balanced up until that point. A lot depends on the first session tomorrow, and how many runs Pakistan’s lower order can score. If I had to guess I would say that the likely result for this match would be a draw. Then again, anything can change in a session or two.

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Pak 281/6

Aap Sansani Khaiz Banwa DaiN Match :naraz:

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

281/6 … not so good batting, only 2 fifties :naraz:

If Pakistan can add another 40-50 runs that would means we will be around 70 runs short which means Kiwis will have to play on morning of day 5 as well, which means game heading for a draw.

This is why test cricket is so awesome. After 3 days, all three results are possible.

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Tomorrow, Sarfarz Should try to reduce the lead.. saving the wicket is not going to work.. our tail is greatest in the world, they can all topple in same over... to best would be to reduce the lead... if sarfaraz can manage to add another 60+ runs, the match shall evenly poised... as then New Zealand have to bat at least 3-4 sessions to give a Pakistan a challenging target...and that to get in 2 sessions...

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Somehow we have to keep NZ busy till Lunch tomorrow. That will automatically reduce lead by good 70-100 runs.

We just need to slow down the pace of game after the end of inning. NZ will have to play at least 2-3 sessions to give some target to Pakistan.
