New Zealand fought hard through the partnership between Mark Craig and BJ Watling but run-scoring wasn't easy throughout the session. Quick dismissals of the two gave Pakistan a chance to finish New Zealand's innings quickly, but they have found a way to fight again. The lower order continues to add some irritating runs.

Zulfiqar Babar to Southee, OUT, there is not going to be a fifty of sixes! Southee goes for the big slog sweep, exposes all the stumps, misses it completely and loses his middle stump. So much for finding this link TG Southee b Zulfiqar Babar 17 (34b 1x4 1x6) SR: 50.00

Zulfiqar Babar to Sodhi, SIX, superbly hit! He comes down the pitch, gives himself some room and smashes it straight over the bowler's head. Takes the team past 400

Zulfiqar Babar to Boult, OUT, Rahat bring relief (Thanks Nick)!! Boult wants to send this to the stands and gets under it nicely, but he gets too much height on it and Rahat gobbles it up at long on TA Boult c Rahat Ali b Zulfiqar Babar 2 (18b 0x4 0x6) SR: 11.11
This game was evenly poised till Pakistan lost two early wickets and put themselves in a pickle! Hopefully in-form Azhar and Younis will stay on the crease and put some much needed runs for Pakistan! Too early to predict the outcome!
Tough couple of days for the bowlers, around 140 overs between four bowlers. Without regular openers and a bowler short, it's going to be tough test match.
Kiwis got lucky, many catches dropped some of those sitter . Pakistani fielding needs to back up the bowlers, 4th inning is not going to be an easy walk, the batting needs to cover for the lackluster fielding.
haan haan yee bhi meray pe he daal deen. Bal k 2nd World War ka ilzam bhi mujh per hee daal deen.
I did not watch it for even a min
but I had and idea of what to look forward to when we lost the toss. We used to be good in chase way back in Mianda and Salim Malik’s time but not anymore. 4th batting ka sun ker hee paoon larazney lagtey hain

I thought that was an established fact. :)
No need to despair yet, maybe tomorrow, we will have to see how the five bat, (Azhar, Younis, Misbah, Shafiq and Sarfraz)

No no I am not in despair about wining the game I was more talking about dominating the way we have dominated in last 3 games. Wo mun ko lagh gaii hai aab aadat zara mushkil sai hi jayee gi ;)
All they have to do is to play all day tomorrow to get in good position. To win this, they should not plan on batting in 2nd inning.
NZ spinners are bowling better than our spinners did on the first morning. Both Younis and Azhar seem to be living dangerously. Maybe the wicket has started assisting the spinners, but both Sodhi and Craig are bowling a fuller length, which is likely to create more chances. The ball is indeed spinning more than the first two days.

Craig to Younis Khan, FOUR, beefy hit! Younis gets to his 29th fifty with a massive hit towards the cow corner. He came down the pitch, took it on the full and smashed it over the infield
Lunch A fantastic session for Pakistan - 84 runs have come in 31 overs and more importantly, Younis has yet again crossed 50. There is no stopping this guy. Azhar has been very solid at the other end too. However, New Zealand are still sitting on a pile of runs and can continue to attack. Some of the deliveries from the spinners looked interesting, but the seamers did not make any impact. Back in 30 mins.
