Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

what a beauty from Asif ....to Vettori

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

Commentator is just reading the rule book and rule says

"some part of the foot of the bowler should LAND behind line"

Asif's foot landed behind line and now commentators have concluded that it was out and even 3rd umpired (Rudi) has got it wrong.

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

I hope rain doesn't ruin Pakistan's victory chance. :D

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

from cricinfo:

  • “NZ seems to be following a pattern - every alternate batsman scoring a duck!”*

:rotfl:

then WTF is the advantage of review system

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

This new REVIEW system is more fked up than what we had before. Just listened to one of the rule for LBW

If Umpire has given someone OUT and BATSMAN asks for the review, ball has to brush any part of the stump ..any tiny corner BUT if Umpire has given someone NOT OUT and BOWLER ask for the review ball should be hitting SPECIFIC (imaginary/calculate rectamgle) AREA of the wicket.

Who comes up with these rules?

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

^ instead of making things simpler they are making it even more complicated.

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

is it raining or its tea????

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

ALL DRAMA

What a match ..

Vettori dropped by Umer Akmal in 2nd slip … but next ball Vettori gone ..caught by Fawad :jhanda:

51.6
Mohammad Asif to Vettori, OUT, and it does not! As Asif bowls one more on the off stump and Vettori flicks it in the air to Fawad Alam at midwicket
DL Vettori c Fawad Alam b Mohammad Asif 8 (7b 2x4 0x6) SR: 114.28
51.5
Mohammad Asif to Vettori, no run, Umar Akmal and Shoaib Malik can’t juggle for their lives. Asif gets Vettori to edge a fuller delivery to Umar at second slip, who can’t cup his hands and the balls slips to Malik at third slip, who also does not latch on! Will this prove costly

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

Slip fielders can't hold anything can they. Thanks God it did cost anything.

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

and Imran DAMAD Farhat has dropped another catch in the slip ... his 3rd (or 4th?) drop catch of the match

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

Why the hell is he still in the slips? Afreen hay bhai Yousuf. :smack:

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

What a game...what a game. Not sure Pakistan are capable of chasing 260+...But IF even if they lose, they have played a heck of a game.

PS...Above statement is not attempt to be "someone" who tries to come up posts that are prepared thinking "what if my team loses"

Dont understand Yousuf's captaincy of keeping damad Farhat in the slips when continues to drop catches. Is that another request from his susar ji to not make him run on the boundary ropes? Thag jai ga bichara.

If Yousuf had used a spinner, then they would have stayed and played some more. Being the "smart" captain that he is, he persisted with a quickie, and as a result they walk off when Pak could have finished the tail tonite.

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

man dammad jee sucks ....he really sucks

Yousuf did right thing. Spinner are getting nothing from the wicket they would have done nothing but to ease the pressure and some (20/25) free runs in remaining overs.

Equation is clear. Pakistan should get them out (i.e use seamers) else take the light.

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

yousuf didnt did the right thing by placing farhat again and again in the slip and dat jerk doesnt want to catch ...it looks like he is on vacation

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

ok they just recounted, Pakistan has dropped 7 catches in this match so far! 7777777777777 CATCHES !

Re: Pak v NZ - 1st Test - 24-28 Nov. 09 @ Dunedin

61.3
Mohammad Asif to Bond, OUT, played on, Asif varies his pace by bowling the off cutter, Bond misjudges the line and shoulders arms, the ball hits the edge and rolls onto the stumps
SE Bond b Mohammad Asif 7 (34b 0x4 0x6) SR: 20.58
