With Younis Khan coming back into the team in the next match, Faisal might need to leave. However, we should probably bench one of the openers, depending on who does better in this match, and let Faisal Iqbal open. He certainly has the technique and the temperament!

^Faisal Iqbal is a middle order batsmen and lets leave him there. No need to send him opener and if he fails it will be really bad for his confidence. Why worry about opening when we have Taufeeq Umer ;) :D

Allow me to fantasize ( i am like that):
A 200+ partnership between Inzi and Yousuf, followed by some additional consolidation by Akmal or Razzaq, followed by a show by our human firework (CricInfo's words), Afridi! We bat the whole day today, and get out or declare near the end of 4th day's play.
Then we ask England to bat again with about 150/200 in deficit!

Loss of Malik is bad. Despite what you haters say about him how he's not a real opener and didnt have opener written on his forehead when he came out of the womb, he's the one who's been giving us good starts in the past year and a half. I liked him as an opener.

Shoaib Malik: Old injury for which he had a surgery earlier this year. Probably didn't heal well.
Malik's injury wasn't avoidable, but Asif and Naveed's WERE!

hard to understand :( .Just couple of days ago there were talks that Asif could actually play the first test, and then just yesterday he was confirmed for 2nd test.
This is really a bad bad blow specially with Flintoff all set for a return in next match.
